The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind.

Following the success of Man Gave Names to All the Animals comes a stunning version of Bob Dylan's beloved song: the anthemic “Blowin' in the Wind.” Jon J Muth is the perfect artist to interpret Dylan's poetic lyrics for a new generation of readers.
.
This beautiful edition includes a CD of Dylan's original 1963 recording, plus a special note by renowned music columnist Greil Marcus, putting the song in historical context.

My Thoughts:

I am a huge Bob Dylan fan and love his classic hit, Blowin’ in the Wind.  So, when I heard there was a children’s picture book coming out back in November, based on this beloved song, I had to get my hands on a copy.  Having known the lyrics by heart, it was nice to sing along, while my daughter and I looked at the beautiful illustrations done by Jon J. Murth.  Jon did an excellent job in capturing the feel of the song, even down to the fine details of the guitar and water scenes.  In addition to the book, a CD is also included in the book flap, which contains the original 1963 Bob Dylan recording. Not only can you share this breathtaking picture book with your children, but you can also share the original music that this book is based on.

This book would make a great gift for both children and adults, and will truly become a family favorite for years to come.  Since receiving a copy of this book to review, it has not only become a popular bedtime reading, but I have put it out on display in our living room, on the coffee table.  Family and friends who have recently stopped by, couldn’t help but read through and comment on the book as as whole, as well as some of their favorite illustrations.

Disclosure:  I was sent a copy of this book by the publisher, in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
