My Thoughts:

Ever since I told my girls about this new Swan Princess release, they have been eagerly awaiting it release.  Thankfully, the wait is over, as it is now available to own on DVD, to enjoy time and again, along with the classic Swan Princess release which will be out on Blu-Ray, Digital and 4K in October.  While you wait for this fall release, you must check out the new The Swan Princess: Kingdom of Magic with your family.

Thanks to the kind folks at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, we received the movie last night, and made a point to clear some of our schedule today so that we could have a movie day to watch the new release.  My youngest got up extra early this AM just to wait and watch it, but I told her she would have to wait until after lunch and errands.  While the wait was hard, it was so worth it, as this was a great movie, and one the girls are still talking about.  They are hoping to watch it again tonight, to see if there were any parts they may have missed (I doubt it), as well as see their favorite scenes again.

What my girls loved about this new Swan Princess release is that they get to see their favorite princess, Princess Alise return, along with Lucas.  You may recall  I shared a review of a previous Swan Princess movie some time ago where Princess Alise and Lucas were pirates and went undercover.  Well, this movies picks up some time later, as the princess and Lucas have grown up.  Princess Alise is getting ready to celebrate her coming of age party, and the palace is looking for the right musician to sing while she dances with her father.  In addition to this story, there is also another story playing out -- that of Mei Li and Chen, who are trying to break the spell cast on Chen, so that they can live happily ever after together, forever.  Mei Li and Chen travel to see Princess Odette in hopes of her helping the break the spell, just like she had down when she was turned into a swan.  But, it turns out it isn't an easy task.  And, as the movie plays out between Princess Alise falling first for the grown up Lucas, and then for Prince Li, we also see Mei Li and Chen trying to break the spell and not having to live with a broken heart.

This movie draws you in from the start, and will keep you entertained from start to finish.  Like I said, my girls loved the movie, and can't wait to see it again. And, after watching it with them this afternoon, I have to agree...it is one movie the whole family will love, and that they can watch time and again.  So, if you are looking for a fun family-friendly movie to watch during the final days of summer vacation, why not pick up The Swan Princess: Kingdom of Magic, available today on DVD, in stores and through online retailers including Amazon.
