How You Can Do Disneyland On A Budget

We all know that a trip to Disney can cost you a fair few pennies but do we really need to be spending all that cash to have a magical stay? It's very easy if you know what to do and look out for, to book a Disneyland break without breaking the bank. Check out some of these hints and tips for booking Disneyland on a budget.

Accommodation

When you think about Disneyland you automatically picture the castle and think oh my, this is going to cost a fair bit however there are many options when it comes to accommodation for Disney. You can look out for deals that come up fairly often such as on-site hotels 4 nights for the price 2 nights and you can even look to staying slightly away from the park and getting a shuttle in. If you are set on staying on site, are driving and are on a strict budget staying in an off-site villa could be ideal. A lot of off-site accommodation not only offers a shuttle to the park for free or a small fee but is also near other attractions that are worth visiting too. It might be worth signing up to Disneyland's offers emails as they will quite often send out early release dates, offers and last minute deals. They also have a handy chart where you can view which weeks and days are the cheapest to book on.

Tickets

There are several options when it comes to tickets for Disney but the best advice is to make sure you shop around before you purchase and make sure you purchase them before you arrive as paying on the door can be extremely costly. There are some options for discount Disneyland tickets and Disney themselves often include the cost of the park tickets in with any packages they are selling so it's definitely worth comparing building your own package against theirs too. It's also advisable to look at booking any shows beforehand too, for availability and the best prices.

Food

This is definitely something that people worry about when going to visit any of the Disney parks as they always hear stories of 'theme park' pricing which can be extortionate. This can sometimes be the case especially if you are on a budget but the park does also offer reasonably priced meal options too. Another idea would be to take a packed lunch with you and take advantage of some of the picnic spots dotted around the park. There's nothing saying that because you are in the park you have to purchase your food there. Disneyland also offers some fantastic meal plans where you have daily food tokens to spend at an array of dining options, sometimes there is a supplement to pay especially if you're planning on eating at a place such as the Beauty and the Beast themed restaurant.
