Big on Play

"Children love kits that allow them to grow plants at home; it gives them a connection to nature and a sense of satisfaction at having nurtured a living thing. My Fairy Garden takes it to a new, exciting level by allowing children to interact with it as part of an enchanting play set!

Children plant the seeds, and care for their garden, all while setting up and playing with adorable fairies, woodland friends and accessories!

Each kit includes everything children need to grow their very own fairy garden, nurture the plants, and play in the fairy world they create!"

---

As part of our homeschooling this month, the girls are learning all about plants, including germination, photosynthesis, the parts of a plant and more.

And, thanks to the fun My Fairy Garden sets from PlayMonster, we have added some fun hands-on learning and observation to our schooling, which my girls love!

If you follow my blog, then you have probably seen a couple posts over the past couple years featuring My Fairy Garden sets from PlayMonster.  I love to include these especially in my gift guides as kids of all ages love these fairy garden sets, especially my girls.

So, when I was asked if I wanted to check out the Magical Cottage from the My Fairy Garden line, along with fun fairies with scented flower and butterfly clips, I jumped at the opportunity.

I knew my girls would be all for helping me review this cute cottage, and it would fit perfectly with the homeschooling lesson we were doing about plants.

You don't have to have a green thumb to enjoy these cute My Fairy Garden baskets from PlayMonster.  They come complete with everything you need to start your garden icnluding soil, seeds and fun accessories for kids to use with the fairy garden they set up.

After prepping the soil -- all you have to do as add warm water and wait for the soil discs to expand -- you are ready to go.

Simply scoop the soil into your My Fairy Garden which is easy to assemble (there are full color instructions included in the box, so you don't have to scratch your head trying to figure out the pieces) and then add your seeds from the seed packet included.

The top can be removed for a fun play area for your fairies to hang out, and kids to play.

My girls created a watering chart so that they could keep track of when to check and water their new Magical Cottage.  In addition, to help with learning about plant growth, they also set up a notebook to draw what they see.  They will be documenting their findings over the next two weeks, as they watch their gardens grow and bloom.  :-)

There is also a great STEM based educational handout that is included with each set, for parents who want to turn this fairy garden into an educational experience, too!

See, your kids can have fun and also learn at the same time. :-)

Next weekend our town will be welcoming back fairies and magical fairy doors to downtown.  They started this a few years ago, and it has caught on and become a popular spring/summer activity for families.  You can stroll the downtown shops while also looking for the fairy doors hidden throughout the downtown area.

My girls love going with their friends to search for the houses, and take photos. Then, they come home and try making their own fairy doors from things they find in nature.  We have a cute fairy path in our backyard filled with little fairy houses my girls have made with sticks, stones, flowers, and more they found outdoors, as well as painted rocks featuring fairies, rainbows and other magical drawings, to add a playful look to their fairy path. And, now thanks to PlayMonster they can bring their love of fairies and flower gardens indoors, as they take care of their very own My Fairy Garden Magical Cottage.  Maybe the fairies who have returned to downtown will see this Magical Cottage in the girls' bedroom window and want to visit. :-)

In addition to the fun My Garden Sets from PlayMonster, fans of fairies can also pick up cute Scented Garden Fairy sets to pair with their Magical Cottage garden.

Available for purchase separately - Garden Fairies include:  Rosie, Jasmine and Sweet Pea

We were sent the three Garden Fairies seen above, which each come with a fairy, a scented flower, butterfly and hair clip.

The butterfly can be a toy, or can be attached to the hair clip and worn as a pretty accessory!

"Play with Garden Fairies on its own, or add it to My Fairy Garden play sets such as the Windmill Terrace; it's the first fairy garden with solar power! When exposed to sunlight, the windmill will turn using solar energy—like magic! Add water to the pond and press the pump to make the water wheel turn and circulate water!"

You can learn more about the cute My Fairy Garden play sets from PlayMonster, as well as the Garden Fairies by visiting https://www.playmonster.com/brands/my-fairy-garden/.  These garden sets and fairies would make for a great Easter basket filler, or fun way to welcome in spring with your kids.  My girls love tending to their flower garden, and the added bonus of fairies make it that much more fun and magical! :-)
