KIM POSSIBLE
High School Makes Saving the World Look Easy!

Bring Home on Disney DVD March 26th

Both of my girls were fans of the animated series, "Kim Possible: The Classic Animated Series."  So, when they saw previews on Disney that there would be a movie releasing last month, they couldn't wait to tune in and watch it.  They made sure to record the special so that they could watch again, and it is good that they did this, as they have been watching constantly since it first aired last month on the Disney Channel. But, it isn't enough to watch it at home...they have been asking when and if the DVD of the Kim Possible movie would be releasing, so that we could get, so they can watch it in the car.  Well, I delighted to say that fans of the new Kim Possible movie, including my two girls, don't have to wait much longer, as Disney's live-action "Kim Possible" movie is releasing to DVD on March 26th.

I sat to watch Kim Possible when it aired on television with the girls, and have to say, I was impressed with the actors, especially the one who played the lead character, Kim Possible.  Fans of Disney's other tween/teen flicks like Descendants, Zombies and Teen Beach movies, will love Kim Possible.  The movie is full of action and adventure, and follows Kim, a not so normal high school student, who has super powers.  She tries to tackle school along with her super hero demands, but when Drakken and Shego come to town and capture her new friends, Athena, Kim has to jump into action and save her friend, while getting rid of the villains once and for all.

It isn't until Kim and her mom and grandmother (who are also super heroes) arrive to rescue Athena at the underground laboratory of Drakken and Shego that they realize she is also a villian.  Kim finds her pulled in both directions, as she see the good in Athena, but also knows she is a villian and was playing her.  Was her friendship real, or all a fascade to lure her to Drakken and Shego?  This is what Kim Possible has to find out, with limited time, as the evil villains are trying to take over the world.  Will Kim Possible save the world and Athena?  If you missed this Disney movie when it aired on television last month, then you will have to pick up the DVD when it arrives in stores on March 26th, to find out for yourself.  Kids of all ages will love Kim Possible, and want to watch it time and again, like my girls have been doing.  It also arrives in time for Easter, making it a great basket filler, too!

Movie Synopsis:

Based on the global hit animated series, the live-action "Kim Possible" Disney Channel Original Movie follows everyday teen hero Kim Possible and best friend and sidekick Ron Stoppable as they embark on their freshman year of high school, all while saving the world from evil villains. By their side every step of the way is teen tech-genius Wade and new friend Athena, who also happens to be a Kim Possible super fan and is eager to join Team Possible. While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-hero ever imagined. With Drakken and Shego lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends more than ever. Now it's up to Team Possible—Kim, Ron, tech-genius Wade, new friend Athena and Rufus, a naked mole-rat that Ron meets along the way—to stop these super villains.
