Do you remember the movie Norm of the North? It released back in 2016, and was one of my girls' favorite movies that year. I had no idea that they were coming out with a sequel, until I received a cool promotional package in the mail the other day, along with advance access to the digital version, which is available starting today, for purchase.
The girls were so excited when they saw all the goodies, and were even more excited to find that that Norm was back for another fun family-friendly movie. Like me, the girls had no idea that there would be a Norm of the North 2. But, once they read the press release that was included in the box, they said we had to watch the first movie again, at it had been awhile since they watched...it was only a few months, as they watched this past holiday season, when they had me wrap as part of our holiday movie advent countdown. They said it featured snow so it was a winter movie. :-) I couldn't say "No" as they were right, plus I liked the movie too, and thought it would be fun to watch again.
So, after watching the first Norm of the North this past Tuesday, we followed up with Norm of the North 2 tonight as part of our movie night. Prior to the movie, the girls had a snow ball fight (thanks to the All Season Snowtime Anytime! snowballs from PlayVisions) and took turns wrapping themselves in the ultra soft and super cuddly, Snowcap Polar Bear Blanket from Wild Things, both which were included in our Norm of the North box of goodies.
But, the real excitement came when I set up the Nostalgia snow cone machine we were sent.
The girls LOVED their new snow cone machine, and ended up going back a few times to the machine to make another snow cone during the movie. Even though it was in the teens outside weather-wise, the girls didn't mind this cold treat as they had their polar bear blanket to snuggle under, while they watched the new Norm of the North 2 movie.

Even though we read the press release before watching the movie, when we finally sat down to watch it, we thought the movie was over when Norm and his friends caught the mayor who had dressed up like Norm and had robbed the banks in the city. Norm returned to the Arctic and it looked like happily ever after. But, then the movie continued with another story line of Norm's brother giving the ice to a water bottling company to make water. When Norm saw this, he was upset and needed to find a way to stop the bottled-water company from taking the ice, even if they had made a deal with his brother, while Norm was in the city. Just like Norm did in the city, he relied on friends to help him save the day...this time with a winner take all hockey match. So, does Norm save the ice? You will just have to watch the movie (in select theaters) or by purchasing a digital copy of Norm of the North 2, available starting today. This is one family-friendly movie the whole family will love, and want to watch time and again. As soon as we were done with the movie, the girls with their blue and red lips from the snow cones, were asking when we could watch it again. :-) How can you not love Norm the polar bear? He stole our hearts in the first Norm of the North movie, and reminded us why we love him in this cute sequel, not to be missed.
