Enjoy this Christmas special adventure based on the classic picture book that has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, written by Sam McBratney, illustrated by Anita Jeram and published by Walker Books. On a snow-covered Christmas Eve, Little Nutbrown Hare and his friends stumble across a little Brown Bear who is lost. Determined to return their young friend back to his mother in time for Christmas, the friends venture bravely into the unknown woods. Through this epic journey we are reminded that the greatest gift of Christmas is being with the ones you love..

"One crisp, winter morning, a young boy wakes up to find a thick blanket of snow has covered the ground as far as the eye can see. Filled with excitement, the boy decides to build a snowman using a tangerine for his nose, coal for his buttons and eyes, and tops him off with a hat and scarf. Later that night, at the stroke of midnight, the snowman comes to life! The young boy and the snowman embark on a magical adventure of discovery where the snowman explores the young boy's world and in return he takes him flying to his home in the North Pole. Upon arriving at the North Pole, the two join a party as the guests of honor to a very special person. Based on Raymond Briggs book, THE SNOWMAN is a family classic for generations to enjoy."

"'Twas the day before Christmas and all through the yard the Cat in the Hat and his guests partied hard. When the party was over, and the guests all departed one poor baby reindeer was left broken-hearted! Can the Cat in the Hat, Sally, Nick and the Fish help make come true little Ralph's Christmas wish? to be with his family, in far-off Freeze-Your-Knees. Will you help see him home? Come be our guests, please!"

"Dive into adventure with your favorite underwater explorers, the OCTONAUTS! Join brave Captain Barnacles, daredevil ex-pirate Kwazii, and medic Peso Penguin, along with the other Octonauts as they explore the world's oceans, rescue the creatures who live there, and protect their habitats above and below the waves! On this very merry DVD, join the Octonauts as they celebrate the holidays! #the Vegimals plans for a Christmas feast aboard the Octopod are interrupted when the Octonauts become entangled in a gigantic blob of sea snot! #the holiday excitement continues when the Octonauts travel to Professor Inkling's childhood home, an undersea mountain, but soon discover that a rockslide has endangered the local creatures, including Inkling's nephew, Squirt! Can the Octonauts rescue the creatures and save Christmas in time?"

"Santa Claus announces his retirement on television and the public is shocked! But it's Santa's replacement Robotropolis who has everyone worried. It seems Robotropolis has his own ideas and instead of giving boys and girls gifts Robotropolis would rather receive them. Join Sonic the Hedgehog in an adventure to rescue the spirit of Christmas and bring joy back to the world!"

I was recently sent each of the above DVDs to watch with my family and have been having a blast finding new holiday favorites that will be watched time and again.   Out of the five DVDs, I found that each of the girls had their own favorite, as did I. I am partial to "The Snowman," which I grew up watching as a child.  This classic story about a boy and his snowman never grows old, and is a movie to watch as a family to kick off the holiday season, as you wait for the first snowfall so that you can make your own snowman.  We had our first snowfall a couple weeks ago and the girls couldn't wait to get outside to make a snowman. When they came in, we had cocoa and watched this movie, and it was perfect start to the holiday season.  While the snow didn't last long, we know there will be more to come, and more snowmen to make.  But, in the meantime, we have been watching this movie over and over again.  :-)

When I asked my oldest daughter which of the five NCircle Entertainment holiday titles were her favorite, she said it was a tie between The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That Christmas! and Guess How Much I love You Christmas to the Moon and Back.  Ever since my girls were little I would tuck them in bed at night and give them a kiss before telling them that I loved them to the moon and back. We even have a stencil of this saying on the wall in the living room.  It has caught on and now the girls say this to me, and I repeat it back to them at bedtime each night. So, when my daughter saw this movie and the title, she couldn't wait to watch it.  She was a fan of the Guess How Much I Love You book growing up, and was excited when they came out with the animated series during her preschool years.  In this holiday, kids will learn about the importance of friendship, family, love and the true meaning of Christmas.  They will learn that Christmas is about being with the ones you love, as they watch Little Nutbrown Bear and his friends try and get the little Brown Bear back to his mom in time for Christmas.  Just like Sam McBratney's books, this animated movie will steal your heart and make you want to watch it time and again.  I can see why my daughter really enjoyed this movie, as it was a favorite of mine, too.

Unlike other The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About DVD releases from NCircle Entertainment which includes a handful of full-length episodes on one DVD, this DVD is just a 60 minute holiday movie.  It follow the Cat, Sally Nick and the Fish as they try and make little Ralph's Christmas wish come true.  I grew up watching and reading The Cat in the Hat books and have loved this animated series on PBS Kids.  My girls have learned a lot from this show, and I am loving this special Christmas movie.  It is definitely going to be one we wrap and watch again this Christmas, when we start our Holiday Movie Advent on Dec. 1st.

As far as my youngest daughter, she said her favorites were The Octonauts and the Sonic the Hedgehog movies. She is really into video games now and Sonic is one of her favorite games to play.  She never saw the animated series, so was eager to watch this DVD.  This DVD included 3 full-length episodes, as well a bonus episode.  Fans of this animated series will definitely want to pick up and add this holiday DVD to their collection, And, if you haven't seen the show but love Sonic like my daughter does, then this is a great introduction to the show, as these are 4 great episodes are ones you will want to watch over and over again.

I shared a review of the Octonauts: The Very Vegimal Christmas last year, so I will not bore you with another review. I will say that this has become a favorite of my girls, especially my youngest, who still enjoys this series, as they is all about marine animals and science.  This particular holiday DVD includes 4 action packed adventures -- Arctic Orcas, Orcas, Great Christmas Rescue, and Very Vegimal Christmas, as well as two karaoke music videos and learning more about marine life in creature reports, that make up the bonus section.  I highly recommend this DVD if you have an Octonauts fan in your life.

I could go on and on about how great these five NCircle Entertainment DVDs are, but instead, why don't you just pick them up and watch them with your family.  You will see why we are loving these DVDs so much, and are happy we have them in our holiday DVD collection.  These DVDs are all reasonably priced, making them perfect to pick up and add to your family's holiday collection, or to give as a gift. And, they will come in handy if you have a DVD player in the car and are planning upcoming holiday travel.  I usually bring a bunch of NCircle Entertainment DVDs in the car to keep my girls busy during our long drives, and they are always entertained.  You can find all DVDs offered by NCircle on their website and at most major retailers near you.
