EXPLORE HOW PEOPLE PUSH THEMSELVES TO THE LIMIT IN ORDER TO SURVIVE IN “EARTH’S NATURAL WONDERS: SEASON 2: LIFE AT THE EXTREMES”

Are you a fan of the survival shows on television?  My husband and I love watching them.  Even though we will probably never be in a situation where we have to survive on a deserted island or stuck on a mountain top, it really is fascinating to see others survive and show the skills needed to overcome the obstacles and challenges one would encounter in these extraordinary places.

Earth's Natural Wonders: Season 2: Life at the Extremes released to Blu-ray, DVD and Digital back on August 7th, and it has been sitting on my TV stand waiting for me to watch it.  Thanks to our NH getaway, I tucked this in the suitcase and was able to watch one evening after the girls went to bed. This season is broken down into three parts -- surviving the extremes, surviving with animals and surviving against the odds.  Combined it has a run time of approximately 165 minutes -- of which you will be on the edge of seat and captivated by what you are watching.

I had planned to watch each part separately and space it out over a few days, but I found myself not being able to hit the stop button on the remote.  Surviving the extremes brought you to the jungle, frozen polar worlds and breathtaking soaring mountaintops.  The animal part showed how animals in the wild can be friends or foes, and what you need to do to survival if you come face to face with certain animals.  And, as far as the surviving against the odds, this portion of the Blu-ray shows how people push themselves to the absolute limit to survive.

I really enjoyed this recent release, and found myself wondering how I would fare if I found myself in these situations where I needed to use survival skills to make it out alive.  Shows like this really put survival of the fittest and the skills needed to survive into perspective, as it relates to extraordinary places and animals.  If you are looking for a series to get swept away with, then you will have to check out Earth's Natural Wonders, Season 2: Life at the Extremes, available now from PBS Distribution.
