GIZMOS AND GADGETS BECOME CREATIVE CONTRAPTIONS
IN NICKELODEON'S RUSTY RIVETS

Available on DVD July 31, 2018

The first thing my girls noticed when they saw me take this DVD out of the package was that it contained a Paw Patrol bonus episode.  Now, if you follow my blog, then you know my oldest daughter, Savannah, is all about Paw Patrol.  She has been a fan of the show for the past few years, and even though she is getting older, she still enjoys the show and pulling out her massive (I am not kidding) collection of Paw Patrol figures and toys.

Savannah was quick to grab the DVD to see which Paw Patrol episode was included, which is "Pup Saves a Robo-Saurus," which aired in Season 3 of this popular show on Nickelodeon.  My daughter missed this episode, so she was excited to be able to get to watch it, along with Rusty Rivets, which is another Nickelodeon favorite of my girls, as they love to tinker around and use recycled materials to make new things.  It is amazing what kids think of when they use their imaginations. :-)

Last week's theme for homeschool was robots, so this DVD and its episodes came in handy.  When we were having lunch I would put on an episode or two of the 8 full-length episodes that make up this upcoming DVD release, for my girls to enjoy.  The girls enjoyed watching Rusty, Ruby and their robot helpers create things that help save the day.  "Rusty's Rex Rescue" was a favorite episode of the girls, and one they ask me to play over and over again.  This episode inspired them to create cute dinosaur robots with scrap material I put in a box and had the girls use as their final hands-on project for last week's lesson.  They had so much making their own dino robots and writing about the different tools their robots had, and special features that would help Rusty and Ruby save the day, if they were apart of the Rusty Rivets show.

If you have a Rusty Rivets fan in your life, or have been looking for a fun new show to watch with your little ones, you will definitely want to tune in to Rusty Rivets on Nickelodeon, as well as pre-order this upcoming DVD release, which arrives in stores on July 31st.
