Kick off summer reading with these fun new Animal Planet Chapter Books (#5 and #6 in the series, released back on May 1, 2018).
My girls are all about chapter books, and if they are about animals, preferably dogs, cats, horses or animals found in nature, they are all over the books, and can crank them out in a hour or so, depening on the length. The girls get excited when they stumble upon a new chapter series that they can read and collect books to make a mini collection with.
Last month, I was sent a chapter series from Animal Planet, that I didn't know existed. I showed my oldest daughter, and she said she saw a couple of the books on the shelf at the bookstore, but forgot to tell me about them, so that I could pick up a couple for her to read. So, she was happy when I showed her we were sent #5 and #6 from the Animal Planet Chapter Books series for her and her sister to read. One book was about horses and the other was dolphins - two animals which will love.

The girls took girls reading each book and trading off the books when they were done. Then, they sat and talked about the books and what they loved most about them, facts they learned about the animals, and shared their favorite parts. I loved seeing them get excited about horses and dolphins like they were, and how much information they gathered just by reading these chapter books.
"Did you know that the longest dolphin -- at up to 30 ft. - is the orca, also known as the killer whale, and that dolphins sleep wtih half of their brains on?
And, when it comes to horses, did you know that horses can read emotions on a person's face?
These are just some of the fun facts kids who read these books (#5 and #6) in the Animal Planet Chapter Book Series will learn.
Both of these books are broken up into sections and profiles highlighting how these animals move, eat, interact with others, and more. With gorgeous photos throughout showcasing the beauty of the horses and dolphins, kids will be eager to flip the page and read on to learn more and admire the breathtaking photos.
Thanks to these recent releases in the popular Animal Planet Chapter Books series, my girls are now fans of the series, and can't wait to pick up the previous releases, as well as keep this series on their radar for future releases. Savannah's birthday is in July, and she has these books on the top of her wish list. She really wants to get the Sharks, Dinosaurs and Snakes books from the series, to read and then pass along to Bella to read and enjoy, so that they can talk about the animals they read and learned about.
