Celebrate Easter with Fun Peppa Pig Goodies That Would Make Great Last Minute Easter Basket Fillers + Egg Dying Kits, DVD and Book Perfect for Easter Fun! (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

I'm a Peppa Pig Parent!

My girls were egg-cited this past past weekend when they saw a package from Peppa Pig arrive on our doorsteps.  Being a Peppa Pig Parent, I am usually sent little goodies for the girls around the holidays to promote fun Peppa Pig products that would make great gift ideas.  Easter was no exception, and I have to say I personally loved this box of goodies, especially because it came with a fun new Peppa Pig Vacation advent calendar.

Look at all the wonderful Peppa Pig Easter-themed gifts my girls were sent to enjoy as they look forward to Easter and welcome in spring...

If you have been reading my blog posts, then you have probably read a post or two where I shared Savannah was in the hospital where she was diagnosed with pneumonia, for the third time in under 6 months.  I hate seeing my girls sick, especially when it is something like pneumonia.  Savannah had what we thought was a head cold for a few days, and then started complaining of trouble breathing and then went to bed and started belly breathing which she never did before.  We rushed her to the ER and her whole lower left lobe lit up on the x-ray with pneumonia.  She was treated for over 6 hours with oxygen, antibiotics, prednisone and nebulizer treatments before they let me take her home to rest and recover.

She looked so helpless laying on the couch last week and I was looking for fun ways to perk her up and get a smile out of her.  Who doesn't love when the mail truck or even UPS or Fed-Ex pulls into your driveway?  These were the moments all last week and over the weekend that got Savannah's attention, as she had the perfect view of the driveway from the spot on the couch she was laying at.  Every time she saw a truck pull in she would sit up and wait for me to bring in a package.  So, when she saw the Peppa Pig package, she was all smiles and couldn't wait to see the goodies in the package.

Easter is Savannah's favorite holiday next to Christmas.  She loves decorating eggs, doing arts and crafts to make decorations to hang all throughout the house, and especially loves pulling Easter-themed books and movies off the shelf to watch, as she counts down the days until the Easter bunny's arrival.  When the girls saw the adorable Vacation Countdown set from Jazwares, they asked if they could use to count down the days until Easter.

Peppa Pig Preschool Toy, Vacation Countdown

"Little ones will love this calendar of seven numbered doors that open to reveal a hidden surprise each day! Set comes with vacation-themed accessories, plus Peppa, Mummy, and George figures suited up and ready for some fun in the sun! It’s the perfect way to get the whole family excited for their next big trip!"

I thought this was a great idea as I haven't seen any advent calendars out there that let you count down to Easter, let alone a fun vacation planned.  We will definitely be picking up another Peppa Pig Vacation Countdown from Jazwares prior to our vacation in NH this summer.

Usually the girls make construction paper chains to help the countdown, but I love this idea more -- and, the girls love opening the windows to find a cute Peppa Pig figure to play with on the fold-out beach scene, as well as collect.

In addition to the Vacation Countdown, we were sent a cute scratch and sniff Easter board book that the girls really enjoyed.  It is a quick read, and one that young Peppa Pig fans will just love.  My girls lingered on each page to scratch and sniff and scratch and sniff again the different stickers.  They had so much fun trying to guess the scent -- with their favorite being chocolate that was left after Rebecca Rabbit ate a chocolate egg. My personal favorite was the spring flowers, that had me wishing for warmer weather now that spring is here so that the snow will melt and the flowers will start sprouting and blooming.

My girls really enjoyed the Peppa Pig: The Easter Bunny DVD, which also comes with fun Peppa Pig egg decorating wraps that we used with the Easter Egg Decorating Kit we were also set (this also comes with a few Peppa Pig egg decorating wraps, too).  This DVD is made up of 12 full-length episodes which have already aired on Nick Jr., but your Peppa Pig fan will love to watch over and over again.  We have only had this DVD for a few days, but have already watched it half a dozen times.  It has kept Savannah entertained while she rested on the couch.  My girls really liked the Easter Bunny episode and the 'The Biggest Muddy Puddle in the World" episodes.  I wonder which episodes will be your child's favorite from this fun Peppa Pig DVD?

Like I mentioned, we were sent a Peppa Pig Egg Decorating kit, which my girls couldn't wait for me to set up for the to start dying and decorating eggs.  We waited until tonight to do egg decorating as I wanted Savannah to have a little more energy to sit at the table and enjoy.

Here are a few photos I took of the girls decorating eggs with the Peppa Pig Easter Egg Decorating Kit.

They loved mixing the colors and loved when the eggs had swirl effects to them. While they were dipping the eggs into the dye cups, I was shrink-wrapping a handful of eggs with the fun Peppa Pig decorating wraps that came with the egg decorating kit and the DVD.  I know what my girls will be having for breakfast tomorrow....eggs, eggs and more eggs -- as they sit and watch the Peppa Pig: The Easter Bunny DVD again.

I could go on and on about how great the Peppa Pig Easter goodies we were sent were.  My girls really enjoyed each and every product, especially the vacation countdown calendar.  Savannah is using this not only to count down until Easter, but April 1st also marks the end of her yucky tasting antibiotics.  She likes seeing that there are only 6 days left. :-)

In addition to the above mentioned Peppa Pig goodies, which would make great additions to your child's Easter basket, I wanted to also make you aware of the upcoming new “Peppasodes” beginning Monday, April 2nd, at 9AM on Nickelodeon - with another episode launching every Monday morning all month long. My girls have added a Peppa Pig sticker to our Peppa Pig 2018 calendar for the new Peppa Pig episode on April 2nd.  They can't wait for this and the upcoming Peppa Pig episodes on Nickelodeon.  If you have a Peppa Pig fan in your house, then you will want to make sure you tune in on Monday, April 2nd, and every Monday morning thereafter in the month of April so you don't miss these brand new episodes.

You can find all the wonderful Peppa Pig Easter-Themed products that I mentioned above at most major retailers including Target, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Walmart.  Prices vary depending on product.  So, if you are looking for last minute non-candy goodies to pick up and add to your child's Easter basket, why not consider picking up a few of these.

Why not switch up the Easter basket and go with a Peppa Pig umbrella this year?  I did this last year for Easter and the girls loved waking to an umbrella filled with goodies from the Easter Bunny.

And, be sure to pick up the vacation advent calendar to share with your child this summer as they count down until your special vacation planned.
