Have you ever seen such a gorgeous bottle of wine before?

Edna Valley Pinot Noir Red Glitter Edition

It is almost too beautiful to open...but, you must as this pinot noir is amazing!

Being a cancer survivor, I am always looking for ways to give back and support wonderful causes. I feel like I was given a second chance at life, and want to try to give back and help others in any way I can, even if it is buying a product that in turn gives some of the proceeds to different causes.  With this being said, when I was started to think about my Valentine's Day gift guide for this year, I wanted to make sure I included at least one company or brand who not only had a unique product that would make a great gift idea, but that was also socially conscious and had a positive presence in charitable fields.  My search led me to ONEHOPE wines. Have you heard of them?

Being a wine lover, I was surprised I hadn't heard of them, especially with their fancy glitter bottles, that really are a sight to see.

As I spent time on their website and did more research about ONEHOPE, I couldn't believe how quickly this charitable company has grown and how much they have given back to charities.  They have also been at the forefront of premier events including the Grammy's, the Sundance Film Festival, VH1 Save the Music and the BAFTA's.  This company's dedication to "making a difference" and supporting worthwhile causes is what is making their wines a household name, and a wine people continue to buy and enjoy with family and friends.

The kind folks at ONEHOPE Wines recently sent me their Edna Valley Pinot Noir Red Glitter Edition to sample.  I really didn't want to pop the cork on this stunning glitter bottle as it looked like a piece of art you would want to display.  But, I was curious to taste this medium-bodied pinot noir wine that boasts full cherry cola flavors.  My husband and I enjoyed a glass of this wine as part of our anniversary dinner I cooked the other night.  It paired well with our pork medallion and roasted herb potato dish. And, just having the red glitter bottle sit on the table added to the fanciness of the meal and exquisite taste of this wine.  The red glitter wine bottle, while made to bring awareness to heart disease (February is Women's Heart Disease Awareness Month), also is a great way to show your love for someone...it screams LOVE!

Here is more about ONEHOPE, including how company got started, how they work with winemaker Rob Mondavi Jr. and their mission and philosophy as it relates to giving back and making a difference...

How ONEHOPE Got Started?:

The ONEHOPE Foundation has raised over $1 million for various charities

"ONEHOPE Wine was founded in 2007 by a group of passionate young entrepreneurs with the goal of creating a superior wine that makes the world better by giving half of its profits to important causes. Seven years later, our founding vision becomes a bigger reality by the day. Thanks to the exquisite, award-winning portfolio of wines we have created with winemaker Rob Mondavi, Jr. and the irresistible spirit of our mission, ONEHOPE is now one of the fastest-growing wineries by volume in the US. And as our business grows, so does our social impact. Sales of ONEHOPE Wine have provided over 1 million meals to children in need, provided over 3,000 individuals with clean drinking water for life, planted over 30,000 trees in America’s forests, and much, much more.

Our founders sought to create an instant-favorite type of wine that captured customers’ taste buds and their hearts – all at a reasonable price point. Bringing on winemaker Rob Mondavi, Jr. in 2009 allowed our then-upstart wine label to accomplish superior quality, as well as the affordability allowed by the Mondavi enterprise’s scale.

"Their wines are 100% Californian, with grapes sourced in select regions of Napa, Sonoma, and the Central Coast. The core varietals boast numerous 90+ point ratings and are favorite pours in thousands of restaurants, bars, and retail stores nationwide."

Like I said, I love buying products that support charitable causes, and now will be buying ONEHOPE wine, not just because of the wonderful flavor profile of their wines, but for all the good they are doing to create a global brand that promises to make a difference.  So, if you like to make purchases that help give back, why not consider purchasing a red glitter bottle from ONEHOPE wines this Valentine's Day?  Not only with you be gifting that special someone with a gorgeous bottle of wine they have probably never seen before, but you will feel good knowing that your purchase is helping educate people about heart disease.  So, it is a win-win for all. :-)
