Available Tomorrow on DVD and Blu-Ray...

The Star

As the snow fell outside Saturday night, we were all snuggled up on the couch watching a wonderful family-friendly movie, The Star, which arrives on the DVD and Blu-Ray tomorrow. You can already buy the digital version of this movie, if you prefer (released to digital on Feb. 6th).   We missed this movie when it was in theaters at Christmastime as the girls were sick.  And, by the time they were feeling better, we were disappointed to find it was no longer playing.  So, this movie was added to our must-see list for 2018.  The girls were so excited when they saw this DVD arrive on our doorstep Thursday afternoon, and couldn't wait to watch it.  I told them that they would have to wait until Saturday, as I had a fun evening of The Star crafts and games planned to go along with the movie.  I love doing a fun family movie night complete with games and activities as it gets the girls more excited, and makes for a more memorable experience -- and, it even gets my husband excited about the movie, as he sits with the girls to help with the crafts, or lends a hand for a movie-themed snack or dinner we all make together.

By the time it was ready to watch The Star, the snow began to fall outside.  So, it was a beautiful backdrop to a great family movie night.  If you missed my digital release announcment of this movie a couple weeks ago where I shared the trailer and more about this film, you can check it out here:  https://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2018/02/the-star-is-available-today-on.html, in addition to more information shared below:

This animated faith-based movie shares the story of the Nativity in a new way -- as told by the animals.  Yes, you read that right, the animals talk in this cute film, which will draw both children and adults young and old into the movie, and have you entertained from start to finish.  Even though the Nativity is synonymous with Christmas, this movie can still be enjoyed year round. The movie does a wonderful job in sharing messaged about faith, family and the birth of Jesus, the theme of compassion and friendship really resonates with viewers.  I am so glad we were finally able to watch this movie, and can't wait to watch it again.  And, we will definitely be adding to your Christmas movie this year, and for years to come.  If you missed The Star when it was in theaters or were on the fence about watching, I would highly recommend picking up a copy of this movie when it arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray, or at the least rent and watch with your family.  It really is a fun animated movie, that will make for a great family movie night.
