Are you looking for a great family-friendly movie to take the whole family to this weekend?  How about Paddington 2, which arrives in theaters on Friday, January 12th.  If you have missed the official trailer to this cute movie, which looks even better than the first Paddington movie, you can see it below, along with a brief synopsis of the movie...

"Following the worldwide hit “Paddington,” one of the most successful family films of all time, this much-anticipated sequel finds Paddington (Ben Whishaw) happily settled with the Brown family in London, where he has become a popular member of the local community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes.

While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s hundredth birthday, Paddington sees a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it.  But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief.

Paddington 2 stars: Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), Hugh Grant (Four Weddings and a Funeral), Sally Hawkins (Jayne Eyre), Brendan Gleeson (Into the Storm), Julie Walters (Mamma Mia) and Ben Whishaw (The Hollow Crown) as the voice of Paddington."

Doesn't this look like a fun movie?  Every time my girls and I see the trailer, we can't help but laugh all the way through it, as it really is funny.  And, when we aren't giggling, we are letting ohh and ahh's, how cute, as you can't help but fall in love with cuddly and oh so cute brown bear we all know and love, Paddington Bear.  I grew up loving Paddington, and still have my childhood Paddington brown bear, and love how I can not only share the classic Paddington stories with the my girls that I grew up with, but also these wonderful family-friendly movies, including the earlier release, Paddington, and the soon to be hit movie, Paddington 2, when it arrives in theaters in Friday.

We have had January 12th circled on the calendar for over a month now, as my youngest was the first to catch the Paddington 2 trailer and called us all in the room to watch it over and over again. After seeing the trailer we were all agreed that this would be a great movie to start off 2018 going to the theater as a family to see together.  So, the girls have been counting down the days, as if they were awaiting Santa's arrival all over again, eagerly awaiting for the 12th, as they know the next day after gymnastics class in the AM, we will be heading for a lunch and dinner date as a family.  It is hard to say who is excited more, as, I too, can't wait to see this movie.  And, thanks to Santa, who left the previous Paddington movie under our tree, we have been having a blast catching up on Paddington by watching the DVD at home and on the go.  The girls wanted to make sure they remembered all the great things that happened in the first movie, so that they would be ready to go into the theater and pick up where the previous Paddington movie left off.

I could go on and on about how great this movie is going to be, but if you love family-friendly movies or were a fan of the first Paddington movie, then I know this movie has been on your family's radar as a must see movie.  And, if it hasn't I hope the official trailer above will excite you to plan a fun movie date with your whole family this weekend, when Paddington 2 arrives in theaters (in theaters Friday!).  I can't wait to hear what you and your family think of the movie, so be sure to come back and leave your thoughts on the movie in the comments section below. Enjoy the movie!
