Community Coffee

Are you ready to set the clocks back this weekend?  If you live in New England like me, you are probably wondering what is going on with this crazy weather.  Yes, we are used to crazy weather...rain one minute...wait another minute and it is sunny.  But, these temperatures are crazy.  Last week we were wearing shorts and t-shirts because it was in the low 70's for late in October.  And, this week we have been dressed in layers dreading the upcoming winter season, with many of us hoping for our electricity to come back on after being without power for a few days after the rain and strong winds that came through over the weekend and into Monday AM.  And, this evening I saw that we will hit low 70's again later this week and then sit at around 65-68 degrees until next week.  Again, these are still high and usual temperatures for us, now going into November.  I had to break down and put the heat on today as it was cold in the house. But, then this Thursday I will be breaking out my tumbler to sip on my Cold brewed coffee from Community Coffee Company.  Then, next week I will be brewing a hot cup of coffee (or two) of one of their blends to warm myself up in the AM.

During the hot summer months did you have the opportunity to try out the Cold brewed coffee from Community Coffee Company?

Cold Brew Coffee

"Balanced with a rich, deep flavor, Community® Cold Brew is made with 100% select Arabica beans and specially formulated for the cold brew process. Available in easy-to-use cold brew filter bags, this refreshing blend is a cool & convenient way to enjoy cold brew without having to leave the comfort of home."

It wasn't until last month that I tried it out and I have been having a hard time since saying goodbye to iced coffee, even with the changing weather and cooler temps setting it.  There is just something about a nice chilled cup of coffee that really helps start a slow morning, or acts as a pick me up halfway through the day.

Cold Brew Coffee

And, when I sip on my Cold brewed coffee from Community Coffee Company, I can't help but think back to the summer months and all the fun we had with family day trips, laying out at the beach, or cookouts in the backyard with family and friends.  Maybe that is part of the reason I can't let my Cold brewed coffee fix go, as I want to hold onto those summer memories a little bit longer.

But, the other reason is that this Cold brewed coffee is really good! And, if you are a fan of iced coffee and haven't had the chance to try this new cold brewed coffee, you will definitely want to pick up a box before they move it aside or take it off the shelf and make room for the winter coffee selections.

If cold brewed coffee isn't your thing, not to worry as the folks at Community Coffee Company, the largest  family-owned and operated retail coffee brand in America (since 1919), has some wonderful seasonal flavors that will satisfy your taste buds, like the ground pecan praline flavor I was sent to sample.

"Now in its 98th year, Community Coffee Company houses the largest family-owned and operated retail coffee brand in America, and four generations of the Saurage family have operated the company since its inception. Founded in 1919, Community Coffee Company is an importer, roaster and distributor of the highest-quality premium coffees and teas, using only 100% Arabica coffee beans.

Having been "grinding" for ninety-eight years, the success of Community Coffee Company can be attributed to prioritizing the two things most important to Cap—making the highest-quality coffee and a strong sense of community. Cap called his coffee “Community” because of the overwhelming support he received from the community that he loved. Today, the company gives back through its Community Cash for Schools® program, which has helped schools earn funds for over 25 years, and its Military Match Program, which doubles orders of coffee shipped to troops in support of U.S. military service."

Like I said, I was sent a bag of ground Pecan Praline from the folks at Community Coffee to try, and have been in heavy with this flavored coffee.
12 oz. Ground Pecan Praline
Steeped in the Southern flavors of creamy pralines and sweet pecans, this Pecan Praline flavored coffee is a truly delightful treat. Made from only 100% select Arabica coffee beans.

I am not usually a fan of flavored coffees, but this one is so nutty and full of flavor that I can't resist it, and look forward to cold mornings, just to brew up pot of this coffee. Not only does it taste amazing, but it makes the house smell so good, too.   This coffee is perfect with a biscotti or Italian cookie to dip into it.  It has just the right amount of sweetness to delight your sweet tooth, but still has the bold coffee taste that coffee lovers look for and need especially when they reach for their hot cup of coffee in the morning.

I have shared this flavored coffee with family and friends who have stopped by to visit in the past few weeks and everyone agrees that this is their "new favorite" flavored coffee.  They can't get over how fresh the brew tastes and how rich in flavor this praline-pecan flavored coffee is.  You find yourself getting lost in the cup of coffee and really enjoying each and every sip.  I have found myself pouring another one, just to let this relaxing feeling linger longer. :-)

In addition the Pecan Praline coffee, I was also sent their espresso flavor of the month from last month, their extra dark roast.

12 oz. Ground Espresso

The rich, caramelized flavor of our signature Espresso is expertly blended and roasted extra dark to create a full-bodied coffee taste that can be enjoyed straight or in your favorite drink. Made from 100% specialty-grade Arabica coffee.

I like my coffee dark and strong, and have always been a fan of espresso.  But, it depends on the brand as many espresso coffees are not really that bold and are just alright.  Having been a fan of Community Coffee for years, I know that with each coffee blend I brew up, I will be sitting down to an unforgettable coffee experience like no other.  And, when I brewed my first cup of this extra dark roast espresso coffee, I could not only smell the rich caramelized flavor of the coffee, but the first sip made my head tilt back. It was just the right amount of boldness in this full-bodied coffee, and was just what I was looking for that particular morning when I was ready to hit the snooze button and crawl back into bed.  That day, I couldn't stop raving about this private reserve blend from Community Coffee to friends, as they could pick up the extra pep to my step that this dark roast coffee gave me.  I told them how easy it was to brew up a pot of this coffee and each and every sip was savored, as the rich, caramel flavor lingered on my tongue.

This espresso coffee is hands down my favorite and one I will definitely be stocking up on as the holidays are fast approaching and I will be having some long nights of blogging before the gift wrapping and last minute holiday prep starts.  If you are a fan of espresso or extra bold coffee and are feeling disappointed with your current go to cup of espresso, then why not pick up a package of Private Reserve Extra Dark Roast Espresso from Community Coffee?  You will be saying "Wow" with the first sip, and wondering how you didn't know about this signature Espresso sooner.

With the holidays fast approaching, why not stock up your pantry now on seasonal coffee flavors and blends you love, so that you have them on hand for when family and friends stop by, or to give you that little extra push in the AM when the temperatures start to dip.  Community Coffee has been around for over 98 years and there is a reason why so many people choose this coffee over all the others.  Next time you are at the market, pick up a package of Community Coffee and see what you have been missing out.  This coffee would also make a great gift idea for that coffee lover in your life.  Fill their stocking with a few packages of Community Coffee and gift them a new coffee mug while your are at it! :-)
