Pomegranate Green Tea Liqueur Ingredients
"Distilled from 100% selected grains, Everclear® provides a neutral flavor profile along with a high proof. Giving it a unique ability to extract even the subtlest of flavors. Providing you with a clean slate, a blank canvas and endless potential."

One of my favorite things to do when the holidays roll around is trying out new adult drink recipes to share with family and friends who come to visit and for dinners.  It is always a nice way to end a wonderful evening with the perfect nightcap.  And, if I can find recipes that incorporate flavors of the season, even better.

Recently, I stumbled upon Everclear when visiting my local liquor store to pick up wines for our upcoming Thanksgiving dinner.  I was curious to see what types of drinks you could make with this. I snapped a photo of the bottle and when  I got home I checked out the website.  I couldn't believe how many drinks you could make with the one bottle.  And, after reaching out to the folks at Everclear, they sent me a sample bottle to try out a couple of their seasonal drinks, which are easy to make and taste amazing.

Here are two drink recipes which use Everclear -- remember this is high proof, so you need to mix it with other vodkas or liquors before drinking.  High proof means that it will absorb and extract flavors better than lower proof liquors you may reach for when creating a mixed drink.

"Being made from 100% selected grains, Everclear® is essentially the starting point used by many distilleries. So as you steep and dilute Everclear® to your liking, you really are creating your own homemade spirit."

First up is Pomegranate Green Tea Liqueur.  I was excited to try out this drink recipe as I love anything pomegranate.  And, fall is the season when you can find pomegranates in the grocery store.  I am used to adding pomegranate juice into my alcoholic drinks for a sweeter taste, but I never knew about making a pomegranate green tea to mix with Everclear.

Pomegranate Green Tea Liqueur brings together the sweet taste of pomegranate and tea with Everclear ensuring holiday cheer is never in short supply.

After you have made the POMEGRANATE GREEN TEA LIQUEUR, you are ready to whip up a batch of Holiday Road Punch for guests to enjoy as they mingle before dinner, or enjoy at the dessert table.

What I loved about this recipe was how easy it was to make.   Yes, it took two hours to steep the Pomegranate green tea liqueur to use with this punch, but after that, the drink whipped up quick.

I had a few friends over the other night and wanted to try out the holiday road punch drink before I made it again this Thursday to serve up to family and friends coming for Thanksgiving.  I asked my guests if they were familiar with Everclear, which they weren't.  I then talked about this acts like a blank canvas for at home mixologists like me to create great tasting mixed drinks, full of flavor.

The first reaction to the holiday road punch drink I made was how pretty it looked. Them, they took a sniff and said it smelled sweet.  But, the best part of the experience was tasting it.  "Wow," was the reaction of my guests.  Some of them were not big vodka and white rum drinkers, but they really enjoyed this drink.  Others couldn't believe this drink started with a pomegranate green tea which I had steeped earlier, and then mixed with the Everclear and other liquors.  Everyone gave this drink two thumbs up.  And, those who will be coming to Thanksgiving dinner are looking forward to having another glass.

After sampling Everclear and the different ways to use this in making wonderful, flavorful mixed drinks, I am now a fan, and will definitely be picking up more the next time I stop at the liquor store.  Now, I know what it is used for, and can head to the Everclear website to check out their extensive drink recipe section for ideas on what to make and serve up to family and friends, or as a great nightcap after a crazy day with the kids.

Here is the holiday road punch recipe in case you want to pick up a bottle of Everclear, along with a box of Pomegranate green tea and try this sweet mixed drink, perfect for this time of year.
