Wild Kratts: Wild Winter Creatures! DVD

Episodes Also Available Now on Digital HD

I was so excited to receive this DVD to review, as both of my girls love Wild Kratts and make a point to tune in each afternoon to see where the Kratt brothers will take them on an adventure and which animals they will meet that day.  In addition to being a fan of this animated series, which airs daily on PBS Kids, my girls also love reading the beginning readers book from this series, which includes a recent release in September with the same name of this DVD...

Both of my girls really enjoyed this book, and was starting a fun lesson plan for our homeschooling about wild winter creature after seeing how excited they got about the different Arctic animals.  Then, I heard earlier this month about this DVD release, and new it would be a wonderful surprise for the girls, who continue to grab this book from the book shelf to read.  And, this DVD couldn't have come at a better time as the girls have been sick, and have been on the resting for the past few days.  Seeing this DVD arrive at our doorstep perked their spirits, and put smiles on their faces as they watched all four episodes that make up this new Wild Kratts DVD release.

The girls had a blast learning about the different Arctic animals, including a walrus, musk ox and polar bear, and can't wait until we do our week long Arctic Friends lesson for school this December.  I will definitely be sharing this DVD and the book with them to tie in what we are learning.  Leave it to the Kratt brothers and the folks at PBS to make amazing educational shows that kids of all ages enjoy, and learn at the same time.  I, too, find myself sitting down to watch this show with my girls, and am learning ride alongside with them.

So, if you have a Wild Kratts fan in your life, why not consider picking up this new DVD release to share with them?  It would make a perfect addition to your child's growing Wild Kratts DVD collection. :-)

WILD KRATTS transforms the Kratt Brothers, creators of the award-winning “Kratts’ Creatures” and Emmy-winning “Zoboomafoo,” into animated versions of themselves, allowing the real-life zoologists to visit wild animals in their little-seen habitats and showcase key science concepts along the way. From elephants using physics to suck gallons of water with their trunks to a fleet of peregrine falcons that harness the force of gravity to speed through the air, each episode of WILD KRATTS presents age-appropriate science inspired by the natural abilities of the animals that the Kratt Brothers – and young viewers – meet. WILD KRATTS airs daily on PBS KIDS (check local listings)."
