The mifold Grab-and-Go Booster Seat is a Game Changer and Must Have for Anyone Who Transports Young Children

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in exchange for an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Last year my husband was in the market for a car.  Because he has a long commute for work, he wanted to look for a car that was good on gas and mileage.  With that being said, I was thinking he would be looking to get a 4-door sedan, seeing that we are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids).  After a few weeks of looking my husband said he found the perfect car and bought it.  To say I was surprised when he pulled into the driveway the first time was an understatement.  Instead, I was shocked.  Wonder why?  Just take a look and keep the thought of a family car in your mind....

Does this look like a family car to you?  We had talked about getting a car that was good on gas and mileage, but I didn't think I had to remind him that we needed a back up car in case my car was in the shop and we needed to bring the girls places.  I took a look in the backseat and couldn't believe how tiny it was.  My husband was running a list of all the pros of the car, and said that the salesperson as the dealership said she could fit two car seats in the back.  "Yeah, right" I thought as I looked at my husband.  I told him that they will tell him anything just to get a sale.

We grabbed the girls' car seats from my husband's old car that were in the garage and tried to install them.  After swapping around car seats from the four we had, we were only able to get one car seat to fit in the car.  And, the only way it could be used it when there was no passenger in the front passenger seat and that seat was pulled all the way forward touching the dashboard.  But, this wouldn't work because we have two girls.  I looked at my husband as I shook my head.  And, his response..."At least it wasn't a sports car."  I guess I should relieved, right.  That is a guy for you.

Thinking that this was a lost cause and that the girls would not be able to ride in this car until they were teens and out of their car seats, I received an email to try out a new car seat alternative, that answered my prayers. Have you heard about mifold grab-and-go booster seats?  I hadn't until I had received the email.  And, after checking out the website and videos of their grab-and-go booster seats, I was curious to try it out.

"The mifold booster seat provides the freedom of travel with kids. Whether it’s taking a summer road trip with the family, carpooling to baseball or soccer practice, or many other situations you may have, a compact, quick and convenient booster seat is a game changer. It is all you need to transport your kids safely."

I have to admit at first I was a little hesitant as I am used to getting the safest car seats for my girls, and thought that the most expensive and top of the line was best.  The mifold grab-and-go booster seat didn't look safe as it didn't have side air protectors or a 5 point harness like the car seats I was used to.

But, I was willing to give it a try and see for myself.  And, I am so glad that I did as we love it and it is the best booster seat we have owned and used. :-)

"mifold is the most advanced, compact, and portable booster seat ever invented. mifold is more than 10x smaller than a regular booster seat and just as safe!"

We received the mifold Grab-and-Go Booster Seat right before the Labor Day long weekend, and were ready to give it a try.  Unlike the other car seats we have used for the girls, this one was so easy to a matter of minutes.  And, if ease of installment wasn't enough, it wasn't bulky or weighed a lot, which were also pluses in my eyes.  But, the best part of the mifold grab-and-go booster seat was that it fit in my husband's Mr. Bean car, thus allowing us to transport both our girls in one car trip.  When my husband saw this, he gave me a smirk and then followed up with "See, I told you this car would work out!."   Argg, don't you hate when your husband gives you that told you so look.

Because I was laid up from an injury, my husband took advantage of his daddy-daughter time and took the girls around town for ice cream, to the playground and for lunches.  The girls were so excited to be able to travel in their Daddy's new car, and I was happy that we finally found a solution to his small car dilemma.

Now whenever the weekends roll around, my girls get excited as they know that they will be riding in Daddy's car to gymnastics and for Sunday Daddy-Daughter breakfast.  Thanks to the mifold Grab-and-Go booster seat, it has become a win-win in our house. It took two mifold grab-and-go booster seats in the back seat to turn his rinky dink car into a family car, and I get some much needed me-time on the weekends,  while the girls enjoy quality time with Daddy in his car.  They think it is the coolest little car and love the looks they get when they pull up next to cars at the lights.  I, on the other hand, just picture this when I see people looking at my husband's little car.  :-)

Beep, beep, get out the way. :-)

We have had the mifold grab-and-go booster seat for a few weeks now, and absolutely love it.  When we are not using the booster seat in my husband's car, I love how easy it is to grab and hand off to my parents so that they can transport the girls around in their cars when they come to visit.  My parents are in love with the mifold grab-and-go booster seat and plan to buy a couple so they can store in their trunks and have on hand when visiting with all the grandkids.  I can't stop raving about these amazing booster seats with family and friends, and even showed them off last week to my girls' old preschool teacher.  I showed her how easy it was to use and she thought this was great.  Back when the girls were in school, field trips days were so crazy as we had so many car seats and booster seats in the classroom waiting to be installed in the teachers and parents cars to transport all the kids.  Just having a handful of these grab-and-go booster seats would have made things so much easier, and take up less space for sure.

Once you try the mifold grab-and-go booster seat you will see why I and so many other parents, grandparents and caregivers are in love with this booster seat.

Blue Comparison.jpg
This is one of those products you are glad were invented and that really do make life so much easier, especially when you are a busy, on the go parent, who doesn't want to waste time when you are running late, trying to install a booster seat in your car.  To learn more about the mifold grab-and-go booster seat, or to order one for your family, or to give to grandparents or your child's day care provider, just head on over to

And, with the holidays fast approaching this grab-and-go booster seat will make holiday traveling a little easier.  Just imagine a backseat that is not crowded with clunky booster seats, or traveling by airplane and not needing to carry a booster seat for your child.

Three in a row.jpg

And, say goodbye to extra charges to rent a booster seat when you rent a car for family trips.  The mifold grab-and-go booster seat fits easily in a handbag, duffel bag, backpack, or even your back pocket.

I could go on and on about how great this booster seat it...but, I will end here so you can find out for yourself. :-)

Mondays are Made a Little Easier When I Have My ThermoServ Double Tritan Travel Tumbler by My Side! #thermoserv

Disclosure: I was provided with a sample from the vendor in exchange for promoting product.  However, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

Even though summer may be coming to an end this week, doesn't mean I can't still enjoy frozen hot chocolates or iced coffees, especially on Monday mornings, when I just don't want to get up and start the week.

Today I have so much to do, but first things first...make my favorite iced coffee and fill my Made in the USA ThermoServ double Tritan travel tumbler, which is virtually unbreakable, and keeps beverages hot or cold while reducing condensation.

I love this tumbler as it is dishwasher friendly, and comes with a matching lid. It looks great!  But, best of keeps my drinks cold for 12 hours.

Want one of these Made in the USA ThermoServ double Tritan travel tumblers (also available in other designs) for yourself?  Then, head on over to Amazon and search for ThermoServ Tumblers.

I can't believe that tomorrow marks 16 years since the Twin Towers collapsed.  Do you remember where you were when you heard the news?  This is one day that is hard to forget especially is you are an American, as most of us sat watching everything unfold on television, while brave firefighters, police and civilians ran into the crumbling towers to save lives.  This new movie release, which includes a star studded cast in just another wonderful way to pay tribute to those we sacrificed their lives to help strangers, as well as those we just know by name because of memorials, but may have forgotten their stories or how they lost their life on this dreaded day.  I haven't had a chance to see this movie, but plan to this week with my family.  Here is more about this new release, which arrived in theaters back on Sept. 8th.  And, be sure to read on to learn how you can enter my giveaway for a chance to win a 9/11 movie prize pack which includes a movie poster signed by Charlie Sheen and more.

In the World Trade Center, a billionaire sits in his attorney’s office awaiting a divorce hearing against his wife. In a west side apartment, a bike messenger kisses his 5-year old daughter and sings her “Happy Birthday” before leaving for work. A maintenance man gets dispatched to help a tenant with his lock. In an upper east side apartment, a young model musters the courage to break up with her sugar daddy. As random as random can be, these individuals step into a crowded World Trade Center elevator.
Wrapped up in their own world, they all ride silently hearing only the sound of the elevator giving notice of each floor. When the elevator stops on the 34th floor, it empties leaving only these five behind. Moments later ... their world changes as the collision of a jet into the North Tower incapacitates the elevator.

With no understanding of what has happened and is happening around them, these fives are forced to band together and fight against all odds to escape from the impending horrific collapse. During these critical minutes, a story of courage, faith, and the will to live unfolds."

Available Tomorrow on Blu-Ray/DVD -- The Gumby Movie -- Enter to #win a Copy Now! -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was sent a screener copy from the vendor in exchange for an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

One of my favorite childhood shows growing up was Gumby.  I used to watch this show before church on Saturdays with my brothers.  Not only were the cartoons fun to watch, but they always had a positive message or lesson, that even the youngest of viewers could pick up on.  I, for one, was a huge Pokey fan. How about you? Hard to choose between Gumby, Pokey, Prickle, Goo, etc., right? :-)

Being a huge fan of the clay-animated series Gumby, you can only imagine how excited I was when I found out the folks at NCircle Entertainment were releasing The Gumby Movie -- in stores tomorrow, Sept. 5th.  Not only could fans enjoy this full-length movie with all the scenes intact, but fans of the show will also score a fun storage case, as the Blu-ray/DVD combo comes in a plastic Gumby head case, which is really neat.

I was so excited when I received my advance copy of The Gumby Movie on Friday, as I knew it would make for the perfect addition to our weekly family movie nights.  My girls have never seen Gumby, even though I passed down all my Gumby and Pokey plush to them.  So, I knew they would be just as excited to see the movie, as I have talked about Gumby ever since they were little.  If they had Gumby bedding for kids, I would have bought it for their beds. :-)

Here is more about the new full-length (90 minutes in total) The Gumby Movie, which like I said you can pre-order from Amazon now, or pick up in stores starting tomorrow...

About this new NCircle Entertainment release:

"Take a magical romp with the world's most popular clay boy in The Gumby Movie. For the first time, you'll enjoy this heartwarming adventure, fully re-mastered from its original film rolls. This is the complete movie, with all its scenes intact. This clay-animated masterpiece was written and directed by Gumby Creator Art Clokey, and showcases Gumby, Pokey, Prickle, Goo, the Blockheads, Professor Kapp, and introduces the Clayboys and singing sensation Tara. Gumby rocks out with the Clayboys for a concert benefiting local farmers. But things go awry when Gumby's arch enemies, the Blockheads, dognap his pet pooch, Lowbelly! Bad turns to worse when the Blockheads also kidnap the band...and replace them with clones! The battle between Clayboys and clones is filled with trains and planes, knights and fights, thrills and spills! True to classic Gumby adventures, The Gumby Movie takes viewers in and out of books, to Toyland, Camelot, outer space and beyond! The Gumby

Movie Bonus Features include: Photo Gallery and Behind the Scenes."

We had such a great time watching The Gumby Movie on Friday.  Even my husband, who never saw the clay-animated series as a kid, sat for the whole movie and enjoyed it.  It reminded me of the clay-mation Raisins, which was another one of my childhood favorites to watch.  Both of my girls enjoyed the movie, especially with all the adventures Gumby and Pokey went on.  And, whenever they were faced with a struggle or having to battle bad guys, the girls were on the edge of their seats rooting Gumby one, who always came out on top.

My girls can't wait to watch this movie again, and I am looking forward to it, too.  This is one movie that the family will be enjoying for years to come.  Hoping more Gumby DVDs are released, so we can start our very own Gumby DVD collection. :-)
