Who doesn't like a hug? As a mom with little ones, I truly cherish the warm hugs my girls give me throughout the day.  Yes, they may test my patience at times or fight with each other.  But, when you wrap your arms around them and cuddle up close, all those little things melt away and you just enjoying that moment of true bliss.  I am savoring these times as I know the teen years are right around the corner and the last thing my girls will want to do is give their "old" mom a hug.  So, for now, I am taking advantage of all the bear hugs I can get from them.

The other day, we received a cute children's book in the mail, "I'm Going to Give You a Bear Hug!" by Caroline B. Cooney, and illustrated by Tim Warnes.  I couldn't wait to snuggle up on the couch with the girls and read it to them.  You know why....not only did I flip through the book upon receiving and thought it was a cute story, but I would be able to get in some hugs as we read through the book. :-)  So, it was a win win for all...they love story time with me, and I gets some cuddly warm hugs.

Here is more about this wonderfully written and illustrated children's book that will surely delight both children and adults at bedtime or anytime you want to share a bear hug...

Even though we have only had this book for about a week now, it has become a favorite in our house, especially at bedtime.  And, when Bella was dealing with asthma issues the other night and felt lousy, she asked me read this book to her, and the book and my hugs helped make things better, and dried up her tears.

I highly recommend this sweet story if you have little ones.  It would make a great book to share at Valentine's Day, to remind your child just how much they are loved...and so, you can get a few extra hugs in and feel their warm embrace.  Once you read this book through the first time, you will see why we love the story and illustrations so much. :-)
