My Thoughts:

Yesterday I shared a post about and Masterpiece Series, Inspector Lewis, in which my parents recommended I check out, after I was looking for suggestions for new shows or series to check out.  In addition to Inspector Lewis, they also talked about this Masterpieces series, which they said is also addicting and will pull you in and keep you watching until the last episode in season four.

Starring, three-time Emmy Award-winning actor, Jeremy Piven, this popular PBS channel series follow an American entrepreneur, Harry Gordon Selfridge, played by Piven, who founds a lavish department store in London.  Along with Jeremy Pivens, this series also includes Amanda Abbington (Sherlock), Katherine Kelly (Coronation Street), Frances O'Conner (The Missing) and Tom Goodman-Hill (The imitation Game).  This star-studded cast does an amazing job at bringing this series together and making it a must see drama.  

The DVD set includes 12 discs, which make up the complete 4 seasons of this series, in addition to two hours of bonus features including behind the scenes look at each season, interviews with the cast and even deleted scenes not to be missed.


I have started on this series and have to say I am loving it, too.  I have always been a fan of Jeremey Piven, and it is nice to see him in a drama like this.  It will be awhile until I finish all the discs as I have over 30 hours of material to watch.  But, I don't mind, as I can now say I have two new favorite shows I can watch at my own pace and not worry about them being pulled from the TV lineup. :-)
