My girls couldn't wait to see this movie after I shared the movie trailer with them a few weeks ago. And, when the DVD arrived on our doorstep earlier this week, they couldn't wait to see it.  So, when it rained this past Thursday, we snuggled up on the couch and watched this movie, while enjoying popcorn and cuddles. :-)

It didn't take long after the movie started for the girls to get up off the couch and run to their dress up center to find their princess and pirate dress up costumes, so that they could act out the movie, as they watched it. Both of my girls had a blast watching this movie, and when the plot thickened and Princess Alise was caught at sea in a storm, they rushed to the couch to snuggle, as they rooted her on to get to safety.  And, from that moment on, they couldn't move from the couch, until the end when they cheered and couldn't stop raving about the movie.  And, before I could get up to turn the movie off, they were quick to hit replay and sat for another showing of the movie...just in case they missed something. :-)

We have only had this DVD for a couple of days, but have watched it half a dozen times at home, in the car, and on a recent play date with a friend.  And, the girls continue to talk about it and dress up and pretend to be Princess Alise and Pirate Alise.  Don't ask them what their favorite part is as they will say the whole thing. :-)  Once you and your family see this movie, you will see why my girls can't get enough of this movie, and why I can't stop raving about it to family and friends looking for a great family-friendly movie to watch come movie night.
