Have you heard about the new menu item at Dunkin' Donuts? For a limited time, they have added the GranDDe Burrito to their all-day breakfast menu. You may think they are trying to complete with other fast food chain restaurants who now offer 24/7 breakfast menus by adding this burrito...but, once you try it, you will see that this burrito is hands down the best breakfast menu item and other food chains can't compare.
After dropping the girls off at school the other day, I make a pit stop on the way home at our local Dunkin' Donuts to pick up a hot cup of coffee and their new GranDDe Burrito to try for myself. Not only was I excited to see the GranDDe Burrito on the Dunkin’ Donuts full menu (includes breakfast items, available all-day), I was also happy to see a few new ice-cream inspired coffee flavors.
Usually I get a large coffee with cream and two sugars. But, that day I decided to switch things up and order their new pistachio flavored coffee along with the GranDDe Burrito, as well as a box of munchkins to surprise the girls with later that day when I picked them up from school. It wasn't until I got home and took the burrito out of the bag that I realized how big it actually was.
Yes, it felt heavy when I was handed the bag at the drive-thru, but I never expected a breakfast burrito to be this big, and cost only $3.99.
When ordering the new GranDDe Burrito from Dunkin' Donuts, you have the option of choosing either the veggie or sausage version. I went for the sausage version as I had heard from a friend the previous day that this one had a kick to it.
"Big, bold and bursting with flavor, the GranDDe Burrito is a large, 10-ounce breakfast burrito that begins with a delicious tortilla filled with a spicy omelet with jalapenos, red bell peppers and pepper jack cheese with habanero. Dunkin’ Donuts then packs in a rice and bean blend that also contains corn, fire-roasted peppers and onions. "
Oh, how I wish I had room to finish the whole breakfast burrito, but I had to stop 3/4 of the way. I couldn't tell if it was all the rice and black beans that helped stuff the GranDDe Burrito, or it was the spicy omelet or sausage. All I knew was that I now had a new favorite menu item from Dunkin' Donuts. And, I couldn't wait to rave about this must try burrito to family, friends and my readers.
While I wish that this burrito would be staying on the all-day menu, it is sadly only available for a limited time, at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide. So, if you are a fan of breakfast burritos or found your mouth watering looking at the photos I took of the GranDDe Burrito and want to see for yourself why I and so many others are making special trips back to Dunkin' Donuts for more than just the coffee, you have to act fast before it is gone!
I can't wait for you to try the GranDDe Burrito from Dunkin' Donuts and experience this delicious, mouth watering breakfast burrito for yourself. And, with the spicy kick to the omelet, it is the perfect way to get a jump start on your day. Or, heck, if you are like me and love to have breakfast at dinner, this burrito will satisfy your appetite...no matter the time of day you choose to enjoy it.
If you are looking for me tomorrow AM, you will probably find me making a stop at my local Dunkin' Donuts to pick up another one of their GranDDe Burrito. I want to end my crazy busy week off on a high note. Are you with me?! :-)
