I have been a fan of Marianne Richmond's since I welcomed my girls and started sharing her heartwarming books to them at bedtime. So, when I heard that the folks at Put Me in the Story had Savannah's favorite book from the author, "You are my Heart," I knew I had to create a book just for her, to share with her at bedtime.
You may recall me sharing previous posts about Put Me in the Story with you. I have lost count of how many wonderful books I have personalized for my girls and made and given as gifts, as well as shared reviews on my blog. I just love this site and always recommend it to family and friends looking for a meaningful gift that can be treasured for years to come.
Creating a book over at Put Me in the Story is so simple. The hardest part is deciding on the dedication and choosing the photos to include in the put, to make it that much for special for the recipient. I couldn't wait to share the book I created with Savannah and was surprised at how I was able to keep it a secret until it arrived, about a week or so after creating on the site.
I have to admit, I forgot about the book with all the craziness in our lives. But, as soon as I saw Savannah holding the package with her name on it, I remembered and couldn't wait to see her reaction to the book. She quickly opened the packed and read the cover to me. Oh, did I mention Savannah is learning how to read now. :-) I am so proud of her, and enjoy our bedtime reading, as I read her a few books and she reads me one or two books she has mastered. I, for one, couldn't wait for bedtime to get here so that I could share this new book with her.
That night was very special. With both girls by my side, I shared this new book. But, before I could get through the first few pages, Savannah was stopping me to ask if she could help read along. And, for the remainder of the book, Savannah chimed in when she knew the words and impressed not only me, but her little sister, Bella, who was also proud of her big sister who was reading now.

I could go on and on about how much I love this book and the author, but why not check out this book for yourself.
