Probiotics for kids available in packets or chewables

Since having children, I have found myself on a first name basis with the girls' pediatrician office and our local pharmacy.  All the nurses and front desk staff know us by name, and greet us whenever we visit the doctor's office or pick up prescriptions at the pharmacy.  Is your family the same way? And, now that the cold and flu season is upon us, we are finding ourselves making frequent trips to the doctors for different illnesses the girls seem to pick up at school or out and about. Ugh!

While it is never fun seeing your children under the weather, knowing what to give them when they first start feeling bad makes all the difference in the world.  When it comes to occasional tummy troubles with my girls, I reach for the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Probiotic Brand, Culturelle® Kids Probiotic.† This dairy and gluten-free kids probiotic contains 100% Lactobacillus GG, the most clinically studied probiotic in children.††

"Daily usage is shown to help support kids’ immune systems and help alleviate occasional digestive distress.*

I first found out about Culturelle Kids Probiotic through a few moms in my local mommy and me meet-ups. During one of our monthly play dates, we found ourselves talking about the occasional digestive distress our little ones seems to have, and talked about ways we try to help reduce this. While the bicycle motion of the legs, or gently rocking your little ones from side to side helps, it doesn't offer the relief they need to get back to their happy go lucky selves.

This is where I found out about Culturelle Kids Probiotic, and heard a couple of moms rave about this over-the-counter probiotic for kids. You may be familiar with the brand Culturelle, as they also offer a probiotic for adults, and the Culturelle Kids Probiotic product comes in single serve dissolvable packets, which are easy to take and flavorless.

I don't know about you, but I am not a fan of taking medicine or pills, even if it is over the counter or a daily vitamin. They are usually too big to swallow or start dissolving on your tongue before you can get it down, thus leaving you to gag. I personally like the idea of being able to dissolve a probiotic supplement with naturally sourced Lactobacillus GG, and not be able to taste it. This is also perfect for my little ones, as I can sneak it into their juice or water when they tell me they are having tummy troubles.

Since finding out about Culturelle Kids ProbioticI have made a point to have a box on hand, as well as carry a few single serve packets in my bag so I am prepared.  Moms like myself can feel great when they reach for Culturelle Kids Probiotic at the first signs of digestive distress, as the probiotic in Culturelle helps support kids’ immune and digestive systems.*

The last thing I want to have to worry about is tummy troubles with my girls, as I love to watch them play and interact together and with their friends.  I can't help but smile each time I watch my girls play and use their imaginations.  They dream up wonderful stories and pull you into their magical worlds, making you believe and want to pretend alongside them!

Imaginative play is crucial in a child's development, as it helps with language development, building their social skills when interacting with others, helps with problem solving and even builds a stronger bond between parent and child, and sibling and sibling. I remember times during my childhood that I would dress up and pretend to a police officer with my brothers or a princess with my girl friends. We would create elaborate backdrops that would make our pretend play that much more fun.  Now that I have little ones of my own, I love watching them pretend play and seeing their little imaginations at work. It truly is amazing what little minds think up, and how kids will act out what they see, as a way to learn and grow!

Just the other day I caught my girls playing together nicely and actually sharing. They were both pretending to be princesses and helping each other get ready for the ball. I couldn't help but grab my camera and start taking photos as I wanted to be able to cherish these moments, seeing that they are growing up so fast, as well as be able to share photos like these with them when they get older and find themselves drifting apart.

Don't let winter colds, the flu or occasional digestive distress come in the way of your children having fun and getting creative. If your little one is prone to tummy troubles or the occasional digestive distress, why not give Culturelle Kids Probiotic a try?

Not only is this the #1 Pediatrician Recommended Probiotic Brand for kids, but myself and many of the moms I know also recommend this trusted brand to family and friends. †

  1. I'm so thankful for this product! My grandson doesn't like yogurt, so we give him these chewables when he's on an antibiotic.
