Complete Your Child's Holiday Shopping by Picking up the Barbie Bubble-tastic Mermaid Doll at Walmart Today #ChosenByKids #Sponsored

Disclosure:  I purchased and was compensated for a toy as part of Sverve campaign.  However, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

How do you put a smile on two little girls who have been sick with a head cold for a week?  Fill the room with bubbles. :-)  And, thanks to a fun new Barbie doll from Mattel called Barbie Bubble-tastic Mermaid Doll, I am able to pair both my girls' (and my) love of Barbie with bubble blowing.

With a dip of the bubble want tail and a pull of the cord on Barbie's back, you can fill the room with bubbles.  And, you know that everyone loves bubbles and popping them!

Have you been doing your holiday shopping at Walmart?  This year, I found myself returning to this store to pick up toys for the girls, or ordering online and having them shipped to the house as the toy prices were much lower than those at other competitive retail stores.  I don't know about you, but when it comes to buying toys, especially around the holidays when everyone seems to go over budget or splurge a bit more than they were hoping, being able to save is a great feeling. Right? :-)

Last weekend, during one of my many trips to Walmart, I picked up this cute new Barbie doll, which is kid-tested and approved and part of Walmart's #ChosenbyKids top toys for the holiday season.  I had never seen a doll like this, and liked the idea of having the girls pull the string on Barbie's back to make bubbles, compared to the basic bubble wand which at 3 and 4 years old, they still have difficulties blowing or will put too close to their mouths.

The girls were so excited when I shared the Barbie with them, and couldn't wait to pose with the box, as they knew once I got the photo that we could tear open the box and play with the doll. :-) Here is what you get with the Barbie Bubble-tastic Mermaid Doll...

The tail was so easy to connect to Barbie's body -- just push and click and you are ready for bubble fun! :-)

My girls had so much fun dipping the bubble fin into the tray provided and pulling the string on Barbie's back to make the fin spin and fill the room with bubbles.  I loved watching them make bubbles without struggling.  And, their laughing and giggling was infectious.  When they weren't laughing, they were having contests to see who could make the most bubbles and who could pop the most in the least amount of time.

While I usually don't like to let the girls blow bubbles in the house due to it leaving my floors sticky, I couldn't resist with this Barbie.  It was so much fun to play with...and, when done, the girls pitched in and wiped up the floor so that it wasn't slippery.  We can't wait until the weather warms up so that the girls can play more with their Barbie outside.  And, I hope Santa heard Bella's request for a Barbie Bubble-tastic Mermaid Doll of her own. :-)

If you have a Barbie fan in your life, or have little ones who are into bubbles, this is the perfect toy to pick up if you are out and about doing last minute holiday shopping.

You will be providing hours of fun and smiles all around when that special child in your life unwraps this Barbie doll, and starts to play with it.  Just make sure you have extra bubble liquid on hand, as kids will not want to stop filling the room with bubbles, and you will go through the little bottle of bubbles that comes with this Barbie doll in a matter of minutes.

  1. This looks like a really cool toy! I agree though that the tail should be able to come off. I would have never thought of a bubble making barbie. They are always coming up with something ;) Actually, I think my son would probably like this too ha.
