Eight O' Clock Coffee

Do you have an all-time favorite television show?  For me it is Friends, which aired from 1994 and 2004, with reruns still on television today.  At the time that this show started airing, I was still in high school.  My older brother was watching it and I ended sitting down to relax and found myself getting hooked.  I found myself daydreaming about how life out of high school and college would be.  Would I have a tight knit group of friends like this who lived together and spend time together?  Like many people, I was envious of this friendship, even though I have come to learn that it is hard to come by and to keep friends together as you grow up, start families and go down your own path.  But, nevertheless, each week I tuned it to watch this show with my brothers, and the college dorm floor mates.  I have some great memories that surround this show and spending quality time with friends while away at school.

Now fast forward to 2014, and Friends is still being talked up today.  Heck, you may still find women going to the hairdresser to get the "Rachel" haircut, as it always seem to be in style, and highly talked about.  In addition to nightly reruns of this hit, award-winning show, the folks at Eight O' Clock are also celebrating the 20th anniversary of Friends by recently releasing a special limited edition "Central Perk" roast.

You may have heard how in NYC they opened up a pop up Central Perk coffee shop for fans of the show to go and enjoy coffee, and pretend to be part of the whole Friends phenomenon. Fans were able to stop in during September and October and relax on the iconic orange couch to take coach selfies, as well as order off the famous Central Perk chalkboard.

I was lucky enough to make it to the Central Perks coffee shop while in the city for a blogger event back in October.  I was like a kid again, getting overly excited about seeing the Central Perk coffee shop and being able to actually sit on the couch, sipping a cup of coffee and talking with friends. It was so cool!

Even though the Central Perks Coffee Shop in NYC is no longer there to enjoy, you can still purchase the Limited Edition "Central Perk" coffee online and in stores. which is available for purchase for only $6.99/bag. Click here to buy now online -- http://www.eightoclock.com/friends/.

This medium roast coffee, is full of flavor and makes for a great pick me up when you find yourself dragging in the early afternoon, as well as a great cup of coffee to make and enjoy when friends come to visit.  I have always been impressed with the top quality product that Eight O'Clock coffee turns out, and they have another winner with this limited edition coffee, perfect for fans of the hit show, Friends.

In addition to this limited edition roast, I would also highly suggest Eight O'Clock's "The Orginal" blend which comes in a whole bean, and has a sweet, fruit, well-balanced blend.

This medium roast coffee, which has 100% Arabica coffee is a great start to your morning.  I am usually a fan of dark roast coffees in the AM to help get me going, but after sampling this medium roast coffee, I found myself enjoying the sweet, fruity notes, while also getting a little kick.  And, the aromas that filled the area while brewing a freshly ground and brewed cup of coffee really helped to alert my senses and wake me up.  I also didn't have that mid morning crash that I get from drinking dark, bold coffees.  This coffee has a subtle medium roast was just enough to get my day off on a great foot.

If you are a fan of seasonal coffees, the folks at Eight O'Clock have you covered with their Dark Chocolate Cherry and Cinnamon Bun coffees -- both only $6.99/bag, and available for a limited time.

So, with the holidays fast approaching, why not consider picking up a bag of two of the Limited Edition Eight O'Clock Central Perk coffee before it is all gone, and pair it with a fun oversized coffee mug with the Friends logo on the outside.

I still have my Friends coffee cup which I won off of a local television channel contest, and use it every morning when I make my coffee.  This coffee would also make for a great stocking stuffer or gift for coffee lovers, as well as for an office swamp.  I ended up picking up a few extra bags of this limited edition coffee and will be surprising my daughter's preschool teachers with them.  Two of the teachers are around my age, and also loved the show, like most of my generation.  So, I know they will love this surprise, along with their own personalized coffee cup Savannah is helping me make. :-)
