Kid-Friendly Sundae Milkshakes – Inspired by Strawberry TruMoo Milk – Yum! #ad #TruMoo

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TruMoo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love trying out and creating new recipes, especially when I can involve the girls.  Not only are they developing a love for cooking and being the kitchen, but we get to practice basic math and work on following directions.  So, when I was approached by the folks at TruMoo milk and asked to create a fun recipe using their strawberry milk, I jumped at the opportunity.

Both of my girls love their chocolate and strawberry flavored milks, so I knew they would be excited to help me create a recipe using this flavored milk as one of the ingredients. :-)

Why does everyone loves TruMoo Milk?

“It starts with pure fresh low fat milk from your trusted dairy, contains no artificial growth hormones, no HFCS and has the delicious chocolate taste kids love.”

After talking about different things to make - from strawberry flavored bread or muffins to strawberry banana pancakes or waffles, the girls decided on ice cream sundae milkshakes.  Being a fan of milkshakes -- the thicker, the better, I wasn't going to say "No." :-)  And, so I started to pull together the ingredients and come up with an easy to prepare recipe that anyone can make, in a short period of time.  This is what I came up with.  Note, you can add whatever sundae toppings you like to the milkshake.  We ended up keeping it simple with the whipped cream, chocolate sauce, colored sprinkles and a cherry.

Strawberry TruMoo Sundae Milkshakes

2 cups of Strawberry TruMoo Milk
1 cup of your favorite flavor ice cream -- we used vanilla
1 Banana mashed

Optional Toppings:
Marichino Cherries
Whipped Topping
chopped walnuts
Chocolate syrup
Shredded Coconut
Crushed Pineapple
Marshmallow topping

1.  Combine Strawberry TruMoo Milk, mashed banana and ice cream in a blender.  And, blend to combine.
2.  Pour into glasses and top with your favorite ice cream toppings.  Serve with a spoon or straw -- or, both!

Let me tell you, these sundae milkshakes were oh so tasty, and really filled you up.  My girls loved rolling their sleeves up, helping to scoop the ice cream, and mixing everything together.  But, their favorite part was taste testing.  And, both gave me a thumbs up, as they sipped away at their TruMoo Strawberry milk inspired sundae milkshakes.

Are you a fan of TruMoo milk?
