My Girls Remind Me Every Day That Love is A Gift - And, MassMutual is Donating to Easter Seals When You Share About Those You Love

Tracking Pixel Disclosure: This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of the MassMutual. Even though I will be compensated for my time, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

Each year, I get to celebrate two birthdays.  Why two?  Well, the first I celebrate on June 30th, as this is my cancer remission date.  Then, my birthday, birthday is November 2nd (this Sunday).  While I wish I didn't get to celebrate two birthdays, and hope others don't have to either, once you join the cancer survivor's club (again, a club no one asks to join), you cherish every little thing in life.  I no longer take things for granted, and make a point to slow down and truly appreciate everything I have and those that I have around me, as you never know when they will be taken away.

When my remission birthday rolls around (which is usually paired up with my annual follow-up oncology appointment, where I am given a clean bill of health for another year), I make a point to spend this day with my parents (who took care of me and brought me to my radiation and chemo appointments each day in Boston), and my girls (who the doctors said I would never be able to have -- ha, I proved them wrong, and have two healthy, beautiful girls) :-)  For this birthday, I am celebrating life and the second chance of sorts to stay on this Earth longer.  I have lost so many close family and friends to cancer, and also take time on this remission day to celebrate their strength and courage and pray they are in peace and no longer suffer, as they look down on me and my family.  There is no cake or gifts -- instead just a lot of hugs and kisses, and thank you's.  I sure do love the warm hugs, especially from my girls, as I always dreamed of being a mom, and never dreamt after hearing my stage 2 cancer diagnosis that this would have been possible. Well, now that I think about it, I guess I do get gifts -- in the form of love! :-)  You can't put a price on this gift or buy it in stores. Instead, you can only embrace and cherish this love -- and, I do each and every day.

Even though my girls are too young to understand what cancer is and that mommy had it, I know I will have to sit down with them one day and tell them about my cancer journey, and also tell them not to worry about me, as they are the ones who give me strength each and every day and fill me with love.  They are what matters, and I continue to stay healthy so that I can see them grow and conquer the world. :-)

And, come this Sunday, when I celebrate the day I was born, I am even more grateful and my heart is filled with love I never knew I would feel...thanks to my girls.  :-)

I am Loving WaterWipes -- The World's Purest Wet Wipe -- It Contains 99.9% Water! #WaterWipes #sponsored @WaterWipesUSA

Disclosure: This post is sponsored by WaterWipes and Mommy Bag Marketing. Although I received product and financial compensation, all opinions are entirely my own.

WaterWipes

Baby WaterWipes

Were you recently affected by the baby wipes recall that they had due to the finding bacteria in the wipes?  Scary stuff if you ask me, especially when you primary use wipes to wipe your baby's delicate skin and private areas.  Thankfully, I didn't have to worry as the wipes I used were not part of the bunch that were recalled.  I had recently made the switch to Water Wipes, and am so grateful that I have.  Have you heard of WaterWipes before? No? I hadn't either, until I was sent samples to try and to share with family and friends.  Now, I and my friends with little ones, and even those with older children have switched to this brand, as they don't contain chemicals or questionable ingredients that you usually find in other baby wipes, including the name brand ones.

So, what are Baby WaterWipes, and why do I and so many other parents, grandparents, day care providers, etc. love them?

Baby WaterWipes

"WaterWipes contains 99.9% water plus 0.1% Citrus Grandis seed extract – aka grapefruit seed extract" --
They are as pure as you can get!

Being a busy mom on the go, I oftentimes find myself trying to do too many things at once.  I may be cooking the girls lunch, while wiping down the counters and cleaning dishes, and even stopping to take a phone call, or put the wash into the dryer to dry.  With so many thing that have to get done in a given day, I am lucky I find enough time to go to the bathroom and breath. :-) But, being on the go all the time, I have found creative ways to use products and things around the house for more than just the purpose they were meant more.  Have you found yourself doing the same? :-)

Take for instance the WaterWipes.  I have a diaper station on the corner of the kitchen island with wipes, diapers and changing pad, in case I have to stop everything and change my youngest while she is playing on the main floor. It is quicker to change her on the floor in the living room, than rush upstairs to the bedroom to the changing table (which now that she is bigger, is growing too big for, which makes it difficult to change her). Having the wipes and diapers handy is great for quick diaper changes, so that she can return to the fun things she is doing, and I can continue with my to-do list, so that I can join her and Savannah for fun, too.

Having the WaterWipes easily accessible on the counter, I have found myself reaching for these when the girls need their noses wipes, I need to quickly wipe up a spin on the counter, dining room table, an end table, the coffee table, etc.  I also love these all-purpose wipes as they are great for wiping down the counter, refrigerator, microwave, etc.  These tough, durable wipes can tackle all the areas in the kitchen that I would have otherwise used paper towels and cleaners for.  And, I have to say, they really do a great job in cleaning and leaving areas sparkling -- and not streaky.

The WaterWipes have also come in very handy when I am crafting with the girls and need to clean up paint spills or wipe the excess finger paint and glue on their hands.  The wipes are gentle enough that I can scrub to remove the stuff, without irritating my girls' sensitive skin.

WaterWipes can be used by anyone with sensitve skin: babies, todlers, tens, or adults!

Another use for these wipes that I personally love is to use them to remove my makeup at the end of the day, or wipe my face as a refresher after lugging groceries and other things in the house.  Unlike other pricey makeup removing wipes, the WaterWipes actually remove all the makeup I have on, which in turns helps prevents breakouts.

Outside of the home, I have also found the Water Wipes to also be great to have on hand in the car, for wiping down the dashboard and seats, cleaning dirty hands when we return from running errands or have a snack in the car.

So, are you seeing why I am loving the WaterWipes so much?  Not only do I love them for the purpose they were created for -- baby wipes, but I have found multiple uses around the house and on the go that I can use these wipes for.  I love not having to struggle to find hand sanitizer, running out of a roll of paper towels when a spill happens, or not have tissues on hand to wipe a runny nose.  Instead, I simply have to reach for a package of WaterWipes and I am all ready to tackle the task at end - no fuss no muss. :-)  I love the convenience and versatility of these natural baby wipes, but most importantly, I love that they are made with 99.9% water and contain no harsh chemicals.

So, if you were recently affected with diaper wipes recall, or are just looking to make a switch to a better brand, that is perfect for baby's delicate skin, has no harsh chemicals which helps to prevent diaper rash, and also has many other uses, why not give WaterWipes a try?  People with skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, etc. can use WaterWipes

without any negative effects or discomfort, too!

Dave's Killer Bread -- Finally I Know What "Real" Bread is Supposed to Taste Like (Review) #momsmeet

Disclosure: I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms Meet program, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meets blogger, I agree to use this product and post my opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or the manufacturer of this product.

You know what really makes or breaks a sandwich -- the bread you use?  If you don't have good quality bread, then whatever you add to the center doesn't matter, as the quality and taste is lost with each bite you take.  But, with so many breads available, how do you know which ones are the best for sandwiches you like to make and serve to your family?  I have found that through trial and error and word of mouth and suggestions from family and friends, you'll be able to find a brand your family will love and that makes each bite you take of a sandwich, leaving you saying or thinking, "Wow!"

Do you have a favorite bread you like to use when making sandwiches?  Or, is your favorite determined by the type of sandwich you are waiting -- i.e. grilled cheese, cold cut, tuna, etc.  Through a recent review opportunity and then talking with friends who have tried this particular bread brand, I am now sold on Dave's Killer Bread.

"Searching for a healthier way to enjoy bread in your daily diet, or trying to get your kids to eat more whole grain? Look no further than Dave’s Killer Bread, the #1 best-selling organic bread in the country. Based in Portland, Oregon, they’re changing the bread industry with their killer breads, packed with taste, texture and nutrition. Each loaf is packed with whole grains, Omega-3s, fiber, and protein. Their full line of 100% USDA Organic and Non-GMO breads will become instant family favorites."
DKB Top 3

Funny name for a bread company, right?  Well, it is just stating how great this bread is in comparison to other better known brands.  If it wasn't for this review opportunity through Moms Meet, I don't think I would have learned about Dave's Bread, or tried it, only to make the switch to this brand, for all my sandwich needs.

"Bold Bread Fact: There’s about ¼ cup of seeds in each loaf of our bread.
High in fiber, seeds help keep you fuller, longer!"

For a while, I was making decomposed sandwiches, where I would cut up the deli meats and put over salad, as I struggled to find a sandwich bread I liked.  Wraps, which can be healthier (depending on the type you choose), really don't scream cold cut sandwich for me.   How about you?

Just look at the 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Thin-Sliced bread from Dave's Killer Bread...

Seeded Loaf
"With 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Thin-Sliced, you don’t have to sacrifice
taste and nutrition when watching calories. Loaded with grainy texture and
hearty flavor, 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Thin-Sliced only has 60 calories
per slice."

Can you name another bread brand that their "everything" bread looks like this?  Probably not. The 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Thin-Sliced bread from Dave's Killer Bread is chock full of tasty goodness that make up the 21 whole grains and seeds added to this hearty bread -- organic whole flaxseeds, organic ground whole flaxseeds,  organic sunflower seeds, organic rolled oats, organic pumpkin seeds, organic millet, organic rye, organic brown rice, organic rolled triticale, organic rolled barley, organic unhulled brown sesame seeds, organic unhulled black sesame seeds, organic amaranth flakes, organic buckwheat, organic rolled spelt, organic blue cornmeal, organic ground yellow corn, organic rolled kamut® khorasan wheat, organic poppy seeds, organic quinoa, organic sorghum.

With each and every bite, you find yourself tasting the different seeds and grains. While it is always better to make a sandwich with something on the inside, this bread can be eaten straight from the bad for breakfast or a snack, and will fill you up.   I have been toasting the 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Thin-Sliced bread and spreading wither jam or melted butter on it in the AM for a hearty breakfast alternative.  This will usually keep me full until lunch time, which is great for this busy on the go mom, who if she skips breakfast is more prone to unhealthy snacking.

In addition to the 21 Whole Grains and Seeds Thin-Sliced bread from Dave's Killer Bread, I was also sent their Good Seed™ bread (has the boldest texture and sweetest flavor of their breads), which has also become a family favorite.

This one is the one we seem to reach for more when making sandwiches, and that I have picked up more of as we went through the loaf in record time.  Even my girls who are picky eaters, would ask for this bread over others when I would make them a cold cut sandwich.  They also loved to have a piece straight from the bag to snack on.

Sandwich - Fresh Turkey

Have you tried Dave's Killer Bread?  If so, do you have a favorite flavor?

"Available in 12 varieties in major grocery chains across 17 states and parts of western Canada, Dave’s Killer Bread packs a punch with delicious flavors loaded
with seeds, ancient grains, and whole grain nutrition. Each slice also contains
as much protein as one egg! A loaf of Dave’s Killer Bread retails between $5.00

and $6.00."

If you haven't experienced what "real" bread is supposed to taste like, then you will have to make a point to look for and pick up a loaf of Dave's Killer Bread the next time you go food shopping.  I am confident that once you take a bite of this flavorful bread, you will be hooked, too, and wanting to make the switch.

Mission Belts Help Keep Pants Up, While Also Helping a Greater Cause #KeepemUp #MissionBelt #sponsored

Mission Belt Co

KID SPIDEY

One thing I remember my mom always telling my brothers is to make sure they always have a good belt on, to not only keep their pants up, but to look presentable.  Even as young kids, she would get them  those weave material belts with the oval loops, and showed them how to put them on.  I always thought this was funny has she made a big deal about the need for a belt.  But, then I moved away for college and found myself walking behind people with drooping pants, which were dangling below their waists.  All I could hear in my head is my mom preaching about how pants should be worn to stay up and not slouch down around your ankles.  Maybe these guys didn't get the memo, or their moms didn't share the need for a belt with them.  Who knows?  All I know is that this is another thing I picked up from mom and find myself saying -- not to my girls just yet -- but, to my husband. :-)

Whenever birthdays and holidays roll around, in addition to the annual new supply of socks, underwear and undershirts, I will buy my husband a new belt.  I have been doing this since we started dating back in the late 90's, and have to say that he has a nice belt collection going -- he doesnt' like to throw clothes or accessories away.  He has enough belts to wear one for each day of the week for practically the whole month. :-)  He has belts for jeans, business dress pants, and even summer shorts.

You would think I could stop with the belts, as he has enough, right?  Well, I was recently given the opportunity to review a belt from the Mission Belt Co., and jumped at the opportunity. If anyone could give a revive on a belt, it would be be (or my mom).  After seeing the name Mission Belts, I found myself trying to figure out where I had heard that name before.  Then, it dawned on me, they were on Shark Tank. After watching their pitch for an investment from the sharks on YouTube, I spent some time at their website, http://missionbelt.com/, to learn more.

I was impressed not only with their selection and overall quality of their belts and how they were made, but also their back story.  I don't know about you, but I love when I can buy a product and see part of my purchase going towards a good cause.  Nowadays, you are pressed to find businesses looking to make a difference, by giving up part of their hard earned sales. But, the folks at the Mission Belt Co. are doing just that.

"Since inception we have sold thousands of Mission Belts and as a result, thousands of dollars have gone to help hard working people who need a hand up. There is more than enough for everyone. Thanks for being part of the Mission!
"Often times the DOLLAR that we pass on represents 20% or more of our profit and we are a for profit business, not a charity."

To read more about the “Mission” and see some of the most recent projects, please visit: http://missionbelt.com/pages/the-mission.

Given the opportunity to review a belt, I ended up choosing the Iron mission belt for my husband.

"Honor the rugged hills where bacon sizzles in heavy cast iron pans. It's about grit, determination, and more strength than marvel. And with Mission Belt's perfect fit system you can be sure that your belt will keep your pants where they belong."

Colors: Vintage iron buckle. Black, white, or brown leather available.
Sizes: S M L XL C*
Materials: 40mm metallic buckle.
1.5" genuine leather with synthetic coating.
*Mission Belts are made to be easily customized so if it's too big you can adjust it. Click here for more info.
The Iron mission belt looked like it could be used for both dress and casual pants, which my husband loves.  Within a few days of putting in my request, I had received the sample in the mail.  I was impressed with the belt and how it looked.  I found myself wishing I had chosen a belt for myself as these belts are really nicely made and would be a great accessory to add to your wardrobe.  But, I also knew my husband, who had developed an appreciation for belts, thanks to me (and my mom), would also fall in love with the belt and enjoy wearing it.  And, that he did!

My husband couldn't get over how well the belt was made and how stylish it looked.  Usually he is not one to dress for style, but liked how it had a cool, hip look to it.  He also liked how he could custom fit the belt and cut it to fit just right, without having to worry about how to hide the extra leather, like he has to do with other belts, he cannot cut.

This belt is perfect for any outfit, business and casual, and helps even the most unstylish of people look well put together, just but strapping on a belt, and letting it show with a shirt tucked into your pants (which are held up where they should be thanks to the Mission Belt Co.).

With the holidays fast approaching, why not consider buying that guy in your life a new belt from Mission Belt.  With most belts averaging around $34.95-$39.95, you can't go wrong for the price, once you see the amazing quality and workmanship that goes into each and every belt made.  Even hard to shop for people on your list will love unwrapping their gift to find a belt for all occasions from the Mission Belt Co..

Sports fans especially will love these belt, which feature their favorite teams (both collegiate and professional leagues) on the belt buckle --

and these...

You can check out the assortment of mission belts available for men, women and children by visiting the the Mission Belt Co. website here -- http://missionbelt.com/And, don't forget to share about the mission of the Mission Belt Co.with those you give a belt to, so that they can see your gift is not only thoughtful, but also helping a greater cause. This belt is a win-win for everyone!

The Walmart Suave Hub Helps Busy Moms on the Go Look and Feel Beautiful, Even If You Only Have a Few Minutes to Spare Each Day #Sponsored

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post for Global Influence, in which I be compensated for my time in writing and sharing this post.  However, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

Wow!, how my daily routines including my beauty regime has changed since having girls.  Gone are the days that I can take long hot showers, or soak in the tub after a long day at the office.  After welcoming my two girls and trading my day job for a stay-at-home mom job (which I would not change for the world), I have found myself pushing my business casual clothes to the back of my closet and reaching for lounge or pajama pants when starting my day.  And, as for makeup in the AM, unless I have to go to an appointment or run errands for the day, I go bare.  My beauty regime and daily routines have had to be reworked and fit into smaller time slots, as I am lucky if I have 10-15 minutes to myself in the AM before the girls get up for the day and need my undivided attention.  And, if I have to go out and need to put makeup on, I only have 5-10 minutes to do it, instead of 20-30 minutes, as the girls will not sit in front of the television or play on their iPads quietly for longer than 5-10 minutes before moving about and coming to look for me down the hall.

With this being said, what can be done in this short amount of time, to keep one's skin looking and feeling healthy, and making yourself look presently when out in public and not like a frazzled mom?  For me, I find that using a daily moisturizer first thing in the AM, and then again at bedtime works wonders in keeping my skin hydrated and smooth.  As I start to age, I am seeing the fine wrinkles and age spots appearing out of no where.  So, I want to make sure I am taking at least a few minutes a day to care for my skin and keep it looking fresh and young for as long as I can. :-)  I also make a point to drink water throughout the day to stay hydrated and flush toxins through my system.  Hydration is key for healthy skin and keeping my skin, especially my lips and face from drying out and flaking from lack of moisturize.

As far as makeup goes, concealer is my lifesaver to help cover up under-eye bags and the occasion blemish.  I also like to put a light coat of black mascara on, to perk up my tired eye.  No eyeliner or shadow here, as it takes to long, and really doesn't go with my new mommy wardrobe. :-)  If I need a little bit more color, I like to put a little bronzer on.  But, usually, a touch of blush to the cheekbones adds life back into my pale skin.  Lipstick is another beauty product that has taken a backseat to my daily routine.  Unless I am going out for a date night with my husband or special occasion where I am dressing up, I usually just reach for lip balm or even my girls' aquaphor to add a little shine and moisturizer to my lips.

Even on those days that I am find myself running late or don't even have 5 minutes to get ready, I make a point to lather on sunscreen, to help product my skin for when I head outdoors.  It also helps to smooth and hydrate my skin, too, which for a busy mom on the go is a perk. :-)

Do you have any quick and easy beauty tips or tricks you use to make yourself look put together, while also trying to balance work/life/family/kids/etc./etc./etc. -- the list goes on and on?  I would sure love to hear them, and I know other busy moms would, too!  So, please share away in the comment section below.  Also be sure to check out the Walmart Suave Hub, which is filled with beauty tips, product promotions and more.

In addition the valuable information in this all in one place online hub, Suave is also encouraging families to live better every day by offering products for the whole family at a great value at Walmart.  Now, who doesn't love to save a few dollars when it comes to trusted brands you and your family love?  Suave is my go to for bath and body products for my whole family, and I love how I can save when stocking up at Walmart.

Celebrate National Cat Day Today with Your Very Own Cat Paw - The Friendly, Yet Feisty Toy from Wicked Cool Toys #NationalCatDay @mycatpaw #CatPaw (Review)

Disclosure:  I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

The day has finally arrived!!! Woo hoo!!! My girls and I have been waiting and counting down until October 29th.  Why is this day so special?  It is none other than National Cat Day!  While we are not cat owners due to several family members having allergies to these cute hairballs, my girls and I can't resist a little snuggle time when we visit with friends who have cats or see them at local adopt-a-pet days.

Do you have a cat?  Or, do you only admire them from afar due to your own cat allergies, or living with someone who does?  Well, if you are a cat lover, you will want to get a fun toy new from Wicked Cool Toys called the Cat Paw?

Just like the name says, this toy is a cat's paw.  But, it is more than just that!

By pulling the trigger on the gripper, you can activate either a friendly or feisty cat sound.  In addition to making these two realistic cat sounds, the Cat Paw also moves to resemble a cat's clawing.  :-)

Cat Paws (#CatPaw) from Wicked Cool Toys are wildly fun and purrrfect for everyone! Creep out co-workers, amuse cat lovers and STUPEFY cats themselves with the amazing, bizarre, wonderful and super fun CAT PAW!

My girls have been having fun sneaking up on family and friends who come to visit and letting out a friendly meow.  Then, they take a double take as they know we don't have cats.  But, where is that meow sound coming from?  This is when the girls pull the trigger a little harder and scare everyone with the fierce cat sound.  It gets them every time! :-)

Oh yeah, and the cat clawing feature also makes this a 2-in-1, as it is a fun toy as well as a cat back scratcher. :-)  My husband was the one who found this out, and now loves to reach for his Cat Paw when he has an itch he can scratch.

And, just last week, Savannah introduced her preschool class to the Cat Paw when she brought it in for show and tell.  I stayed around to see the class's reaction.  Boy, I have never seen a group of 20 kids giggling so loud, or smile so hard, as they watched Savannah demonstrate the two cat sounds and cat clawing action.  After her demo, she passed around the two Cat Paws we were sent for the kids to try out.  I know what most of these kids (if not all) will be asking for this upcoming holiday season.  I don't blame them, as I am hooked too on these fun toys from Wicked Cool Toys.

Check out the Catchy Cat Paw Jingle - It's Pawesome

Once you see one, you have to have them all! Cat Paws are fur sure to be the life of any party, fill an ordinary with extraordinary moments, strike up conversations with just about anyone, and bring endless joy to everyone, even your beloved four-legged family members!
