Disclosure:  I was sent a screener copy from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

GIVEAWAY CLOSED -- Congrats to Sandra, who answered the question correctly!  Postman Pat's cat's name is Jess! Thanks to everyone who emailed and gave the correct answer.

Were you a fan of Postman Pat growing?  I had only heard about him after having my girls, and since then, have been quick to become a fan of this oh-so likeable postman.  If only all postal workers were like Postman Pat. :-)  Just watching Postman Pat deliver the mail and see the different encounters he comes upon, makes you want to become a postman, too! Oh, I would go that far...but, he sure does make the job look like fun! :-)

In this new movie, we see Postman Pat being phased out of his job, as he will be replaced by a robot.  He had hopes of getting a bonus so that he could take his wife on an Italian vacation.  But, when news of his job being lost, he has to come up with another way to get money to take his wife on the vacation of her dreams.  So, what does he do? Postman pat shows off his singing ability (what can't this guy do?) in a sort of American Idol and America's Got Talent kind of way.  And, if you watch close you would think he were seeing Simon Cowell.  Don't be fooled, as this character is called Simon Cowbell. :-) hahaha

Like others who become overnight stars, stardom goes to Postman Pat's head, and he begins to ignore his wife and son.  What will happen to Postman Pat?  Will he get to keep his job?  Will his family grow tired of him and his stardom and leave?  Or, will he go back to being the lovable Postman Pat we all know and love?  You will have to pick up this new DVD release to find out! :-)

My family loved this new full-length movie, and have already watched it a couple of times.  There were a few jokes intersperesed through the movie that adults will pick up on and laugh about, so keep an eye out for these.  And, enjoy Postman Pat singing "Signed, sealed, delivered!"  My girls loved to dance and sing along with their favorite postman...and, you will, too!
