Food Should Taste Good

More and more families are opting to send their children to school with lunches, not just because of the convenience and savings aspect, but also because you can pack a healthier lunch than what they are probably serving in the cafeteria.  If your child does bring a lunch, do you struggle to find healthy snacks to include?  I wish I had extra time in the day to create those Bento style lunch boxes you on Pinterest and on other people's blogs.  People get really creative with their kids' lunches, and I know if I opened my lunch box and saw animals, flowers, etc, that I would want to eat it, too. Well, for those of us who find ourselves always pressed for time, and trying to figure out what to include for a healthy snack, do I have the snack for you....Brown Rice Crackers from Food Should Taste Good.

Not only are these all natural oven baked crackers good for you, but they come in a variety of flavors, so you are bound to find one that your child will love.

Over the summer, I was sent the three flavors of these Certified Gluten Free crackers to try with my family, in addition to the popular Sea Salt flavor, which was already available in stores.  When it comes to snacks, my girls usually will ask for fruit snacks, yogurt pouches or fishies.  So, I wasn't sure if they would be interested in helping us sample these brown rice crackers.  But, to make the tasting experience more pleasing to the eye, I cut up different cheeses, made a homemade salsa, and even had peanut butter and hummus available for spreading.  I put a sampling of each of the crackers in a plate in front of each box, with the topping choices next to them.

What kid and parent for that parent for that matter doesn't love finger foods or eating with hands.  I love grabbing snacks like crackers, popcorn, etc, when I am looking for an on-the-go snack.  When the girls saw that they could add cheese or other toppings to the crackers, they found the tasting experience to be fun, and couldn't wait to try the brown rice crackers from Food Should Taste Good with us.  After about a half hour of snacking and sampling, the girls were able to report on which of the three new flavors of these oh so tasty oven baked crackers were their favorites -- Savannah was a fan of the peppercorn blend, as it had a little bite to it (her words, not mine) :-) and Bella kept reaching for the Tomato & Basil crackers.  Both, however, were fans of the sea salt crackers, and would first lick the salt off the crackers before adding cheese slices or dipping into the hummus spread.  As for my husband and I, we loved all the flavors, but found ourselves always reaching for the roasted red pepper crackers. They had a little kick to them, and paired well with a slice of colby or swiss cheese.

During recent car trips and picnics with the girls, I made a point to bring baggies filled with the girls' favorite Brown Rice Crackers from Food Should Taste Good, along with cheese slices, so that they could enjoy a healthy snack on the go.  And, when school starts after Labor Day, I will definitely be sending Savannah into school with these oven-baked crackers, for her to enjoy as well as when it is her turn to bring in a snack for the class.  I know that the kids will have a fun time sampling these crackers like we did back in July, as they find their favorite flavor.

So, if you are looking for new snack ideas for your child's lunch, or simply want to add more healthy snack choices to your shelves for the whole family to enjoy, why not consider picking up one or all four of the Brown Rice Crackers flavors now available in stores nationwide, from Food Should Taste Good?  Once you try these light and airy oven-baked crackers with a crunch, you will see why my family and so many others have been stocking up and enjoying them.  They were even a hit at cookouts and gatherings we had this summer, with guests asking what they were and where they could buy them. :-)

  1. These crackers sound like they would taste great. They would be great for my niece who has celiacs disease and needs gluten free products.
