Own LEGO: Legends of Chima – Chi, Tribes, and Betrayals Season 1, Part 2 July 15th -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was sent a screener copy from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

I was first introduced to LEGO Legends of Chima when we took the girls to the Legofest last year in Hartford, CT.  While my girls are just starting to get into LEGO building, their cousins are quick to school them on all things LEGO including Legends of Chima, which is a popular television series.  I was thinking about having my 7 year old nephew write this review, but after sitting down with him on numerous occasions to talk about this upcoming 2-DVD set releasing tomorrow, I knew he would talk your ear off. :-)

If you are not familiar with this show, but love LEGO or CGI animation, you will want to check it out, as the animation is spectacular.  I am not usually one for LEGO movies, but I found myself getting lost in the amazing animation -- really stunning!  I am in awe at what they can do nowadays when it comes to animation, especially for kids television shows and movies.  Everything is so lifelike and really brings the story to life.

Synopsis:

"Once a pristine, natural paradise, the Kingdom of CHIMA has become a battle ground for eight animal tribes. Best friends are now enemies. The animals fight for control of a natural resource called CHI, a powerful element that is both a source of life and potential destruction. Only a few brave heroes in CHIMA understand the true nature of CHI, and the possible downfall of CHIMA that will result from its misuse. Their stories, and the stories of those who seek to destroy them, are known as... THE LEGENDS OF CHIMA."

---

Having never seen this series before, I wondered if I would be lost if I watched it with the kids.  But, even though this new DVD picks up at the end of the first half of season one, I could get what was going on, and continue on from there.  And, like I said, I have a nephew who can talk your ear off about LEGO Legends of Chima, and he was quick to bring me up to speed. :-)

The stories alone that make up this popular series will pull you in and have you choosing tribes you want to root for.  With the amazing animation the sword battles are one to sit back and enjoy.  Really cool if you ask me.  Shh, don't tell my nephew, but I think I am turning into a LEGO Legends of Chima fan, thanks to this upcoming 2-DVD release.  And, my girls who are just getting into the show, are also fans, as they asked me again today to watch it. :-)

So, if you have a LEGO Legends of Chima fan in your house, or simply love LEGO movies, this is one worth checking out.  And, at only $12.99 for the 2 DVD set, you can't go wrong for the price. ;-)  Very entertaining and will provide hours of enjoyments for boys and girls of all ages.
