Feature Friday -- Take That Much Deserved "Me Time" for YOU and Enjoy a Mia Tempo Subscription Box (Review)

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

With the craziness that comes with being a parent, we oftentimes forget to take a few moments (at least) out of our day for just us.  This time is crucial, not only to recharge our batteries or de-stress from a hectic day, but is important for your overall health.  The last thing you want to do is get so run down that you are sick, while trying to take care of your family.  Not fun at all.  Or, burn out and find yourself wanting to run away from everything or neglect your family.  But, thanks to things like Mia Tempo, which is a subscription box service created by a mom, moms especially can be reminded to take that much needed "me time" and pamper themselves...because YOU DESERVE IT!

I have to admit, that raising two girls so close in age ( 2 1/2 and almost 4), and having kids later on in life, I don't have the energy level I used to have in my 20's.  They really do take a toll on me both physically and emotional -- they are both going through the terrible 2's and 3's and love to feed off each other's energy.  There have been times I have found myself getting so tired, but then I had to take a step back and remind myself that I need to take some quiet time for myself each day.  Even if it is just to take a hot shower or soak for a bit in the tub, or to pour myself a hot cup of tea and read a few pages in a book I have been meaning to get back to -- things like these are great stress busters and perfect ways to utilize "me time," which for parents is hard to come by in today's go-go-go world.

From what seemed like never ending colds with the girls this past winter and spring, to needing to find things to keep them entertained now that the summer and warmer weather is here, I welcomed the opportunity to try out Christina's "Mia Tempo" susbcription box, which she was gracious enough to send along for review. :-)  I couldn't believe all the goodies that were included in the box....

I told my husband that I needed some extra "me time" this past week, so that I could try out the products.  Shh, don't tell him, but I have been trying out the products for the past few weeks, and have been using the extra time this week for catching up on a few recorded shows, while sipping on the white tea that was included in the Mia Tempo box.

Like I shared in my Spotlight Mom post on Monday, Christina started Mia Tempo (which means "my time" in Italian, in hopes to make a help make a positive difference on the lives of women everything.  Christina, being a mom herself to three children, knows how important "me time" is for a mom.  With her desire to help help moms take that must needed "me time, " she couples this with offering all-natural and organic skin care products and at-home home spa and beauty treatments.  So, you don't have to worry about spending top $$ on day spa trips, or even need to leave the house.  Simply take a long hot shower and follow up with the different products included in one of the Mia Tempo boxes.

I am not usually a fan of lemongrass scented products, but I loved how this was combined with ginger.  It smelled really good.  And, the body polish did an amazing job at exfoliating my skin and leaving it moisturized.  After I towel dried, I followed up by applying the body spread, which is thicker than a lotion, so a little goes a long way.  I can't remember the last time my skin was this soft.  It felt like baby soft skin, and the scent of the ginger lemongrass was so subtle and not overpowering one bit.

When I found myself needing to moisturize my hands after washing dishes, soaking and scrubbing out stains in the girls clothes, etc., I would reach for the honey almond hand buttercream.  From the first time I used this moisturizer, I wondered how I ever lived without it.  I LOVE LOVE anything with a honey almond scent, so was excited to see this cream in the box.  I even went online to order more so that I could have a tube in the house and one in the car.  You never know when you need to sooth dry cracking skin.

As for the refreshing Lemongrass spray, I use them when I am finding myself pressed for time and need to run out of the house without getting fully ready with makeup in the AM.  One spritz of this spray and it wakes up my senses.  Then, at night time, I find it relaxing to spritz some of this spray on the bed linens and pillows before I crawl into bed.  Who knew that I would become a fan of the lemongrass scent.  But, thanks to the "me time" pampering box of goodies I was sent by Christina, I am loving it.

So, even though Mother's Day has come and gone, and even if your birthday has passed, it doesnt' mean your family can't go ahead and buy you a "Mia Tempo" box to enjoy.  Or, heck, buy one for yourself and pencil off time on the family calendar just for you -- you deserve it!  And, your family will thank you for it, once you re-emerge calmer and in a better mind set.  It is amazing how just 10-15 minutes a day away from everything and everyone really helps you unwind and regroup.  Don't get burnt out thinking you can do it all.  Stop and take time for you...and, what better way than with a box of all-natural and organic skin care products and at-home home spa and beauty treatments from Mia Tempo.
