I love supporting fellow mom entrepreneurs (as can be seen in my Spotlight on Mom feature), especially when they create a product that my family can't live without.  And, that is the case with the two moms behind Revolution Foods Meal Kits.

Kristin Groos Richmond, Co-Founder and CEO and Kirsten Saenz Tobey, Co-Founder and CIO

Not only are these meal kits convenient for on-the-go snacking or to send your child off to school with for lunch or a field trip, but they are made with natural, high quality ingredients and no artificial color or preservatives.  How great is that?!  Even picky eaters, like my girls, love these meal kits, which come in the following varieties...Ham and Cheddar Meal Kit, Turkey and Cheddar Meal Kit, Peanut Butter and Jelly or Cheese Pizza Meal Kits.

While there have been other meal kits designed for kids in mind available for years now in your local supermarkets, the meal kits from Revolution Foods offer up natural ingredients and provide kids with at least 7 grams of whole grains and one serving of fruit in each kit.  Try looking at other competitors nutritional labels...you will not find this.  What you will find is a lot of words you probably don't recognize, but basically means these meal kits have artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

I was so happy to learn that the two moms behind Revolution Foods, not only created these tasty and oh so convenient meal kits so that other moms could buy them in stores for their kids, but that schools across the nation started carrying the Revolution Foods meal kits. Who knew that two moms could stand up for other parents when it comes to making sure healthier meal choices are offered in schools, by igniting a healthy food movement in schools nationwide?

My nephew and niece both love to bring their own lunches to school, as they are never satisfied with what the school has to offer.  Either the food doesn't taste good, or they don't want pizza or a hamburger every other day.  So, they ask me to prepare a bagged lunch for them, or will come shopping with me each week and pick out foods for their weekly lunches.  When they do come food shopping with me, we always find ourselves at the packaged deli meats area, where you can find the Revolution Foods Meal Kits.  They will then pick enough meal kits for the week, as well as get a couple extra for after school snacks or for quick and easy weekend lunches to enjoy on the go, as we are always running around to sporting games and practices with them.  All I need to pack in addition to these convenient meal kits is a drink for them, as the kits themselves come with everything they need, including a snack. :-)

Both of my girls also love these meal kits, so I make a point to pick up some for them.  As a busy mom on the go, these convenient meal kits sure do come in handy when I have an afternoon appointment and don't have time to make different meals to serve up in hopes my picky eaters will eat.  Instead, I let the girls pick one of the Revolution Foods Meal Kits, and they will sit at their table and enjoy them.  They love making their own cold cut sandwich with the pre-sliced deli meats, sliced cheeses and crackers, as well as make their own cheesy pizzas that don't need baking. :-)

Come on, what kid doesn't like finger foods?  And, for that matter, what adult doesn't like to use their hands to eat, too?  I have found myself on occasion snacking on one of these meal kits when I have missed lunch, or just want to have a fun picnic indoors on a rainy day with the girls, or we are out at a park and enjoying lunch on-the-go.  Revolution Foods Meal Kits are great for lunches and snacks, and will leave your child feeling full and satisfied, while you will happy knowing that you were able to give your child a healthier ready-to-eat meal.

With school letting out and kids heading off to camp or other summer vacation activities, you will find yourself shopping for easy meals to prepare and bag up for them?  Don't stress over what will stay fresh in the hot summer sun, or what will be less messy for them to eat.  Instead, grab a handful of Revolution Foods Meal Kits, and keep them chilled in the fridge.  Then, when you child needs a great tasting, ready-to-eat meal, grab one of the meal kits to hand them, or wrap in aluminum foil to keep chilled until they are ready to it.  No fuss, no muss!  What more could a parent ask for? :-)

Revolution Foods Meal Kits are available at Safeway stores nationwide, as well as other popular retailers.  You can learn more about Revolution Foods, including more about the moms behind this great product line by visiting http://www.revolutionfoods.com/.
