Disclosure: I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Savannah has started her birthday countdown.  Only 6 more weeks until her 4th birthday, and a trip to the Build-A-Bear Workshop at the Burlington Mall in MA to make two new My Little Pony plush toys.  Haven't you heard?  In July, they are releasing My Little Pony Apple Jack and Trixie.  We can't wait!

In the meantime, if you have a My Little Pony fan, make sure you take advantage of the limited time 25% off sale, and get the ponies you may have missed...

25% off select My Little Pony friends
Note that the 25% sale doesn't apply to the new 10 inch Mini Cutie Mark Crusaders, which are still $15.00, without clothing or sound.

Savannah has been visiting the Build-A-Bear stores each time they release a new pony, and she is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Applejack for her birthday.  And, to make her 4th birthday that much more fun, we will be bringing a few of her friends along, so that they, too, can get in on the fun and make a new pony before we head back to my parents house for cake and ice cream. :-)

But, as we wait for the arrival of the new My Little Pony characters, the girls have been enjoying the recent additions of two new pets to the Disney Princess Palace Pets collection  This month, stop by your local Build-A-Bear Store, or order your Palace pets online, and choose from either Snow White’s bunny, Berry or and Aurora’s kitten, Beauty. When you create one of these cute Palace Pets in stores, "guests will participate in a special coronation ceremony and receive a personalized letter as well as a coloring sheet with fun facts and information about their new stuffed animal pet."  Unfortunately, due to the girls being sick, we had to pass on going to our local store to make Berry.  But, thanks to the kind folks at Build-A-Bear Workshop, they send Berry, all dressed up for the girls to enjoy through the mail.

Disney Princess Palace Pets

"With the addition of Berry and Beauty, the make-your-own Disney Princess Palace Pets plush offering is expanded to a collection of four special pets based on the Disney Princess characters. All of the Disney Princess Palace Pets will be available at Build-A-Bear Workshop stores and online at buildabear.com. For added fun, Guests will be able to dress their new pet in a variety of clothing and accessories:"
  • Berry ($25) can be dressed in her Red and Blue Dress ($13.50) and Disney’s Berry Accessory Set($12.50) with Red Sparkle Bow Flats ($7.50 per pair).
  • Beauty ($25) can be dressed in her Fuchsia and White Dress ($13.50) and Disney’s Beauty Accessory Set ($12.50) with Fuchsia Sparkle Bow Flats ($7.50 per pair)
  • Guests can extend their fairy tale by making any furry friend a princess with Disney Princess costumes for favorite characters including Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Snow White and Tiana ($16 each).

The girls were so excited to get mail, but were even more excited when they opened the box to find Berry inside.  All I could make out besides the yells of excitement was how pretty Berry was, and how cute her outfit was.  Bella was particularly fond of her sparkling red shoes, while Savannah kept playing with her crown and jeweled pendant.  Seeing how much the girls were loving Berry, I knew that a trip to the store would be in order, or at least purchasing another Berry, or maybe even Aurora's kitty, Beauty, would be in order. The girls still don't like to share, and I knew that another Palace Pet in our home would receive the love and attention it deserved by my girls. :-)

While Bella was a fan of Berry, she fell in love with Beauty, when I showed her the furry kitten online.  I told her if she was good that we would get it for her.  And, last week when Papa came to visit, he had a surprise with him -- Beauty found herself a new home here in CT...and Bella couldn't have been happier.

We can't wait to add additional Disney Princess Palace Pets to our growing collection.  How about you?  Have you stopped by your local Build-A-Bear Workshop this month to check out the Disney Princess Palace Pets and other new additions?  If so, what did your child end up getting?  I can't wait to hear and see photos. :-)

Here are a couple photos I snapped of Savannah giving Berry love before they turned in for the night yesterday.

Since Berry arrived at our doorstep, Savannah can't go anywhere without her.  And, her bedtime routine now includes telling Berry a story, before taking her red shoes off to leave by the bed and tucking her in. Then, they both drift off to sleep, until the next day, where they snuggle and cuddle all the day through. :-)
