When it comes to watching television shows, my husband and I have different tastes. Yes, we both like reality television shows, but the shows that we record to watch at a later date are different from one another. I find myself recording voice or dance talent shows, along with dating shows, while my husband is more into the shows that air on A&E and History Channel.
Have you heard of the show Duck Dynasty, which airs on A&E? Many of you have probably seen the show firsthand or watched news centering around comments made by Uncle Si in the news last year. Even though both my husband and father are not hunters or wear camo, they do love this show, and will spend hours if they could, watching repeat episodes of this popular A&E reality show. So, whenever a holiday rolls around, I can count on getting fun Duck Dynasty gifts to give them, that I know they will love. And, this year, thanks to the folks at A&E Networks, who sent me a few samples of their Father's Day gift guide, my dad and father will be getting a new fishing rod, to use out on the lake. Maybe this year, they will catch that "big fish" they are always talking about catching and cooking up. I have set to see it! Maybe the Duck Dynasty & Swamp People Fishing Rods & Reels from Zebco will provide some magical powers that will lure big fish their way. :-) We'll see.
Swamp People is another popular reality show that many people (both men and women) can't get enough of, which airs on the History Channel. Just like Duck Dynasty, both my husband and father love this show. I have watched it a few times and found myself laughing at the show's stars out on their swamp boats. This is another show, if I let my husband, he could sit in front of the television and watch for hours, without getting bored.
Guys and their reality television shows are just like sports...you don't want to get in their way or bother them when watching. And, when holidays roll around, you can count on products and memorabilia from their favorite shows, like Swamp People and Duck Dynasty to make for perfect gifts. And, this Father's Day is no exception.
Thanks to some of the following wonderful gift ideas I am done Father's Day shopping for both my husband and father, who are both fans of Swap People and Duck Dynasty. :-) And, the dog even scored a treat, thanks to the tasty and crave worthy duck flavored and shaped jerky style dog treats.
Our 8 pound dog, Lily, would stop begging for more of these USA made dog treats, which I have to say smelled good, unlike other dog treats we give her. :-)
And, while I haven't given my husband and father their new fishing rod and reel yet, I know that when they see them, they will want to make a b-line to the nearest lake to go fishing and try them out. A day out fishing...you can't get any better than that, right? :-)
This seat will not be empty for long. :-)
