My Thoughts:

Whenever it comes to reviewing anime titles, I can always count on my husband and nephew to help me out, as they are both huge fans of Japanese Anime.  While I had never heard of the Saint Seiya series before, my husband was quick to school me on the series and why it ranks in the top 25th of anime series of all time in Japan.  I could see his excitement as he talked about the series and how other anime series on television like Yi-Gi-Oh! and Digimon came about because of this crossover success.

My husband thought I was just reviewing a DVD with a handful of episodes on it.  Little did he know that I had an 11 DVD collection for him to watch. :-)  His eyes lit up like a child's on Christmas movie when I handed over the DVD set to him.  He let out a "How Cool" as he looked at the cover art and read from the back of the DVD box.  Now for him to find the time watch all 11 DVDS.

Luckily, this past weekend, my parents were here to visit the girls, so this gave my husband some time to watch some of the 73 full length episodes of this hit Anime series DVD collection. This is the first time that all 73 episodes from the series is available to own on DVD.  Fans of Saint Seiya have been waiting a long time for this collection, and will be in all their glory once they get to hold the 11-DVD set in their hands on April 15th, when Saint Seiya: Sanctuary Classic Collection arrives in stores.

My husband was only able to watch the first 3 DVDs in this 11-DVD set over the weekend.  But, like he says, he is pacing himself and will have all 73 episodes watched by the time summer starts. :-)

So, if you are a fan of Japanese Anime or this series in particular, or know someone who is, you will want to make a point to pick up this 11-DVD set when it goes on sale in stores and online on April 15th.
