Synopsis:

"An assortment of wit and wisdom from moms, about moms, and for moms. What do girls do who haven't any mothers to help them through their troubles? —Louise May Alcott.  My mama always used to tell me: if you can't find somethin' to live for, you best find somethin' to die for. —Tupac ShakurHugs can do great amounts of good—especially for children. —Princess Diana.  My mother has always been unhappy with what I do. She would rather I do something nicer, like be a bricklayer. —Mick Jagger. Covering all the joys of motherhood, celebrated matriarchs from Queen Victoria to Hilary Clinton to Britney Spears deliver belly laughs and offer pearls of maternal wisdom on such topics as morning sickness and baby antics, playground politics and raising hormonal teenagers, frenzied mealtimes, and dreary household chores."

My Thoughts:

Have you ever wondered what famous celebrities have said about motherhood?  This book will share both the witty and practical thoughts of people like Britney Spears, Woody Allen, Halle Berry, Maya Angelou and many others.  There are quotes about being a mom, to how others saw their mom.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book based on the people who were mentioned in the write up had shared quotes for this book.  But, I have to say, I really enjoyed reading, and ended up reading it from start to finish in about a hour's time.  I found myself laughing at many, while others made me think of my own relationship with my children and my mom, and how I could relate to the quotes shared.

If you have a mom who likes quote books, or is just looking for a fun read, then this would make for the perfect Mother's Day gift idea, along with say a box of chocolate or flowers. :-)
