This cheeky ensemble comedy will have you howling with laughter!

Synopsis

"Soul mates Alexandra and Jeremy are getting married. At least that's the plan. Unfortunately for them, nonchalant best man Peter, bridesmaid Sarah, and an army of naysayers haven't heard they're meant to be together. Can missing bridesmaids, crashed cars and a delivery of pig testicles stand in the way of true love?"

My Thoughts:

My husband and I ended up watching this movie for date night on Friday.  I was surprised that my husband was game for watching it as he is not usually into romantic comedies that center around weddings.  But after watching the trailer the day before with me, he thought it would be a funny comedy to end the week with...and, it was!

Your wedding day is supposed to be the most memorable time of your life, one girls dream of since they were little girls.  But, if you ask most people, getting to their wedding day was stressful and had bumps.  Come on, haven't you seen all those wedding movies.  While many are far fetched, some hold true, with old flames coming out of the wood works, to friends fighting, or families clashing.  So much for happily ever after, right?  Well, this is yet another romantic comedy that follows a couple who feel they are meant to be together forever as they prepare to walk down the aisle.  But, if it is up to their friends, getting to the alter will be difficult.  And, that it was.

While the plot dragged at times, this movie was full of laughs and really a treat to watch.  The cast of characters which included Mena Suvari, Jason Maza, Matthew McNulty and Noel Clarke to name a few, worked well together and made the story believable.  You really thought these people were really friends.

My only negative comment about the movie was that the audio and video could have been a little better.  At times my husband and I found ourselves asking each other what they said, as we couldn't make it out.  But, overall, this was a great date night movie, and comedy to end the week with.  If you like rom coms or movies about getting to the alter with bumps along the way, you will love "The Knot," which is now available on DVD now.
