My Thoughts:

I have to say that I am loving all the new animated movies releasing in theaters and on DVD lately.  Not only do the kids enjoy them, but my husband and I find ourselves getting as excited to see them as the girls.  And, this was the case with Wings, which releases on DVD tomorrow.  We were lucky enough to get an advanced screener copy to watch and had an advance movie screening with the kids and a couple of our friends and their children this past weekend.  After enjoying a delicious potluck, we settled into the living room to watch this Dove Approved family film.

With the success of the other planes animated movie, and seeing how excited my daughters, especially Savannah get whenever she sees planes now, I knew that they would love this movie.  And, that they did!  At only 88 minutes in length, it kept the kids engaged from start to finish, and was just the right length for even the littlest of viewers to watch without growing restless.

Ace wants to become a super wings champion and get a trophy.  But, he has to put his cocky attitude aside and let others help him, if he wants a chance to be part of the great Hawk Flying Team.  This movie does a great job in teaching children about dreaming big, never giving up on those dreams, as well as learning to work as part of a team to achieve such goals and dreams.  Wings also reminds viewers that cheaters never win, and this and the many other positive lessons make this upcoming release a movie worth picking up and sharing with the whole family.  We all loved the movie, and will definitely be watching it again soon.
