I don't know about you, but I am lucky if I can find 10-12 minutes in a day to take a shower and get ready. Oh, how I miss the days I could take a long soak in the tub, or take my time in getting ready putting my makeup and doing my hair. Nowadays, I hop in and out of the shower and spend 5 minutes tops on putting on makeup and doing my hair. Because of this limited time, I find myself simply putting on under eye concealer to hide the bags from lack of sleep, a little blush to give color to my fair skin (thanks to my French background) and throw my hair up into a ponytail. Then, it is off to the closet to put on a pair of jeans and comfy t-shirt, before I head out into the living room to start my day with the girls.
But, when the weekend rolls around, my husband is kind enough to either let me sleep in. Lately, though, I have been using this extra "me time" to catch up on a good book while soaking in the tub, or taking a little bit longer in getting ready. I really need this time nowadays due to the harsh cold winter days we have been having. I have found that my long, thick hair is becoming more frizzy due the heat in the house and then going out in the harsh cold elements. But, thanks to the Dove Hair care line available at Walmart, I can say goodbye to frizzy hair once and for all. And, if that wasn't enough, I am loving how I can use different Dove Hair care products to turn my plain straight hair into a head full of curls in a matter of minutes, without the need for styling tools. Because I have little ones who like to visit me in the bathroom, I cannot leave hot curling irons, flat irons or other styling tools out on the counter, where they could grab at them and hurt themselves. This is usually why you find me quickly brushing and pulling my hair back into a ponytail, as I don't have immediate access to the proper styling tools to add bounce to my otherwise flat hair, or go from blah to wow with curls.
One occupation I would never be good at is one of a hairstylist. It is not that I lack a good style sense. But, when it comes to thinking of ways to style my hair, I am lost. I love flipping through magazines checking out the celebrity hair styles of the moment, and long for a personal stylist who could make my hair look as good as the celebs, rather than just throw it back in a ponytail. When you factor in limited time to get ready and lack of direction, this is what I am stuck with. Or is it? Not any more thanks to Dove Hair.
