Mom-Invented Desert Dwellers A-Z Educational Flash Cards Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Last week I introduced you all to Julie Rustad, creator of Desert Dwellers flash cards.  If you missed my Spotlight on Mom feature with Julie, click here to read it now -

Julie is an amazing graphic artist and used her talents to create a fun deck of A-Z flash cards, in which she features Southwestern Animals and fun facts and stories about each through colorful paintings she did herself.  My girls already know their ABC's, but are starting to learn letter and number recognition.  So, I thought this would be a fun alternative to the many different flash card sets on the market.  What surprised me the most was that my youngest, Bella, fell in love with these cards, and doesn't want to put them down.  Even when we are not working together with the cards, Bella will pull the deck of cards from the shelf and sift through them, calling out letters and sometimes even the long names of some of the Southwestern animals found on the flash cards.  She was so excited when we first used the deck of flash cards, as she knew one animal -- the road runner -- thanks to the PBS Kids show Wild Kratts. :-)  You should have saw her big grin, as she showed off her skills, impressing even her older sister. :-)

This A-Z flash cards set is perfect for both boys and girls, and will provide hours of fun for kids of all ages, as they learn letter recognition, more about different Southwestern animals through fun facts and stories, while also enjoying Julie's beautiful paintings.

If you have little ones, or your kids are fans of animals and love learning more about animals, then they will love the Desert Dwellers educational flash cards.  This flash card set is also perfect for homeschooling parents as well as preschool teachers looking for a fun alternative to basic ABC flash cards.  Since receiving the Desert Dwellers flash cards, my girls have yet to stop asking to use them.  With a few more weeks of use, I know they will have all 26 animals' names down pat.  And, the fun facts are also coming in handy, as their nightly phone calls with Nana and Papa include them sharing what they have learned about animals like the Harris Hawk, Xami Hairstreak and Diamondback Rattlesnake.  I wonder what fun facts they will be sharing next? ":-)
