I am Taking the Pledge-to-Pledge Challenge -- Stay Tuned for 'Before and After' Photos #pledge #Sponsored

Disclosure: I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Pledge. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Woohoo!  I am so excited to share that Mom Central Consulting selected me to be a Pledge Ambassador.  Over the next month I will be tracking my 'before and after' experience with a selection of Pledge FloorCare Wood line of products.  Then, I will share these photos, along with my thoughts about these Pledge products with you. :-)

When my husband and I started looking for home 7 years ago (wow, I can't believe it has been that long -- feels like just yesterday), we both wanted a unique house.  After spending over a year looking at homes, it felt like all the ranches, split levels and colonial style homes are looked the same.  About to give up our home search and settle for yet another condo, I stumbled across a listing for a custom built gambrel home in the quiet corner of CT.  We were living about 20 minutes from the home in MA, but decided to take a look at it.  Hey, what did we have to lose? After seeing 100+ houses during our search, one more wouldn't make a difference.  But...it did, as this was our "dream home" and we both fell in love with it upon walking in the front door.

One of the things we loved about this custom post and beam house, besides its uniqueness, was that it had no carpets whatsoever in it.  Instead, the main floors were wood plank floors, and the kitchen and bath all had ceramic tile or laminate.  My husband and I both suffer from year round allergies, including dust mite allergies, so we were hoping for a home without carpet.  And, with three dogs at the time, wood floors were much easier to take care of for the occasional accidents they dogs might have.  Oh, and did I mention how much I hated the winters and rainy days with dogs.  In our old condo, which was wall to wall carpeting, they used to track in mud and dirt, thus leaving me to constantly clean the carpets either by hand or with the carpet cleaner.  Not fun.

Before we welcomed the girls in 2010 and 2011, the wood floors in our new home were pristine.  The old owners had them buffed and coated before we moved in.  And, on moving door, we played close attention when moving heavy furniture throughout the house, as not to damage or scratch the floors.  But, since the girls, the floors are no pristine.  Now, they are filled with scratches from toys being pushed across them, marks from sippy cups or bottle leaking onto the wood, as well as dull looking due to my not having the time or energy to continually take care of the wood.  But, when I found out I was chosen as  a Pledge Ambassador, things changed.  I was hoping that with the help of the Pledge FloorCare Wood line of products being sent to try out, that I would finally fall in love with the wood floors, just like I had when I walked in and saw them 7 years ago.

Within days of finding out I was chosen as a Pledge Ambassador, I was sent a sampling of products from the Pledge FloorCare Wood line.  Not familiar with this line of wood care products from Pledge?  Here is more information about the different products available for purchase at your favorite local retailer:

I am so excited to be taking the Pledge-to-Pledge Challenge over the next, by using the Pledge FloorCare Wood products sent to me, throughout my house.  And, I can't wait to share 'before and after' photos with you.  So, stay tuned!
