Fun Alternatives to Handing Out Candy on Halloween -- Trick or Treat with Trash Pack & Glitzi Globes

With Halloween creeping around the corner, it’s time to begin thinking about what items to hand out to trick-or-treaters this year.  Will you go the traditional route and hand out candy?  Or, will you hand out fun non-candy items to the trick-or-treaters?  The non-candy route has become popular for Halloween -- but what to hand out...that is the hard decision to make.  Do you hand out stickers, pretzel bags, coupon sheets from restaurants, or toys?  With two young toddlers who will be going out trick-or-treating for the first time this year, I am trying to figure out what to do when they return with a bag full of candy.  After talking with other moms, they said they do a trading system with their kids, where they buy toys or other trinkets, and then swap out the candy with these fun non-candy items.  The kids love it, and the parents don't have to worry about dealing with cavities or worse...hyper kids.  Right now, we are going through the terrible two and three's stage, so the last thing I need to do is add sugar to the mix, and make them more hyper and off the walls.  So, not only am I thinking about the "trading system" with the girls, but I am also going to pick up items for the items, and let them choose if they want candy or a toy.  I can't wait to see the kids' reaction, when they are faced with a choice to make.  I wonder how many will choose the toy over the candy bowl.

Thanks to the folks at Moose Toys, they will be supplying me two of their most popular brands, The Trash Pack and Glitzi Globes™, to offer my trick-or-treaters.  I know that the kids will be sure to love the hilariously disgusting Trash Pack collectibles or the make-your-own mini snow globes from Glitzi Globes.

Whether I greet ghoulish trick-or-treaters or pretty young princesses, I know this year's Halloween guests will be thrilled to have the chance to collect a Trash Pack or Glitzi Globes item to add to their Halloween bags.  I will be sure to have my camera ready to take photos, so that I can share with you. So, stay tuned.

Will you join me in going against the norm this Halloween and offering a non-candy item like Trash Pack or Glitzi Globes to your trick-or-treaters.  While candy is yummy, toys are more fun!  Don't you think? :-)
