Which Team Are You On?

I only recently got into watching The Good Wife on the CBS Television Network, after a number of my girlfriends started talking about how good it was getting.  Now in its fifth season, I had a lot of catching up to do if I wanted to stay up to speed on this popular drama.  So, while my husband was watching his shows that I could never get into, I found myself borrowing DVDs from friends, and slowly, but surely catching up all the missed seasons of The Good Wife.

After watching the pilot episode, I wondered why I had never tuned in to watch this drama, as it was really good.  Usually it takes me a few episodes to see if I like a new show, but I was hooked after seeing the pilot episode and bits and pieces of season 4 episodes as I waited for complete season DVD sets to watch from friends.  :-)  While I can't have a viewing party every week with my girlfriends, I am making an exception this upcoming  Sunday, as this episode is one worth having fans of the show around to talk with during commercial breaks.  In the past we have done 3-way calling during commercial breaks and after the show to talk about the tension mounting as Alicia plots to leave Lockhart Gardner to start a new firm.  But, now that Alicia and Cary's plans to leave the firm are exposed, they will have to battle it out to retain clients.

What I love most about this successful drama is how Margulies' character, Alicia Florrick, is portrayed as a strong female character. While her husband is imprisoned for a sex and corruption scandal, she must take care of her children financially, and returns back to work as a litigator.  Not only will she have to prove herself in the courtroom, but she will also have to prove it to clients she hopes to keep once she jumps ship and starts her own firm.  I love Margulies on ER, and always hoped she would land on another successful television series.  And, that she has, in the lead role, none the less. :-)

Everything will come to a head on Sunday, when Alicia will have to scurry, putting out fires, saving her reputation, and doing whatever else she needs to do to leave and start a new firm.  My girlfriends and I have been eagerly awaiting this episode, and thankfully we will not have to watch to see what Alicia does much longer, as it will all unravel before our eyes on Sunday, October 27th (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, in the highly anticipated episode, "Hitting the Fan."  Will you be tuning in?   This is one episode not to be missed, and worth trying to watch at the time of airing, as you don't want to read spoilers and hear friends talk about it the next day before you get to watch it.

ABOUT THE OCTOBER 27TH EPISODE:

Tune in this Sunday at 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network for the highly anticipated episode yet, “Hitting The Fan” – Alicia and Cary’s plans to depart Lockhart/Gardner are suddenly exposed and a desperate battle to retain clients ensues.

About "The Good Wife":

THE GOOD WIFE stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Julianna Margulies as Alicia
Florrick, a wife and mother who reinvents her life following her husband’s sex and political
corruption scandal. Four years into her tenure at the law firm of Lockhart/Gardner, Alicia accepts a prestigious partner offer from her bosses, Diane Lockhart, Will Gardner and David
Lee. However, a mutual attraction with Will leaves Alicia conflicted after she agrees to renew
her vows with her husband, Peter, who has won the gubernatorial election with the help of campaign manager Eli Gold. After much thought, Alicia agrees to leave Lockhart/Gardner to
start a new firm with her colleague, Cary Agos, who is unable to convince investigator Kalinda
Sharma to join them. Now, Alicia must find a way to balance her evolving career, her new
position as First Lady of Illinois and her roles as a wife and mother to her teenage children, Zach and Grace. Emboldened by the prospect of taking control of her future, Alicia bravely ventures into unknown territory.
