Now Faith Based DVDs Available from Bridgestone Multimedia Group

Disclosure: I was sent screener copies from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

Looking for family faith based movies to watch with your family?  Then, head on over to Bridgestone Multimedia Group and browse their wonderful selection here -- http://www.gobmg.com/.  My family has been enjoying their movies for quite some time, and are never disappointed with their selection, including these two recent releases...

The Nativity: The Life of Jesus Christ

Synopsis:

"An inspirational adaptation of the greatest story ever told, The Nativity follows the life of Jesus Christ from His birth in Bethlehem through His childhood and into manhood, where His special message of love and forgiveness changes the world.

However, not all become His followers, and His life on Earth ends brutally on a cross at a place called Calvary. Yet, Jesus' ultimate sacrifice, followed by His resurrection from the dead and His ascension from Earth reveal Him to the world as the one true Son of God in this faith-based, historical drama."

An Ordinary Hero: The True Story of Joan Trumpauer Mulholland

Synopsis:

"The amazing true story of civil rights pioneer Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, An Ordinary Hero is directed by award-winning filmmaker Loki Mulholland, who captures his mother's story and learns about her courage and the role she played in changing American history. As a white girl growing up in the South, Joan witnessed the ugly realities of segregation and racism firsthand and vowed to one day change it. By the time she was 19, she had already joined the Freedom Riders and participated in over three dozen sit-ins and protests. Despite being attacked by angry mobs, put on death row in the notorious Parchman Penitentiary, and coming face-to-face with the KKK, Joan never wavered from her belief that we are all created equal.

Full of exclusive interviews and rarely seen images from the civil rights movement, An Ordinary Hero is an empowering documentary that can restore your faith in the human spirit and the belief that all of us can make life better by doing what is right, even when it isn't easy."

These two recent movies have been Dove-approved, so you will be confident in knowing that these and other Bridgestone Multimedia Group titles will be great to watch with your family.  What I like most about these movies is that it opens up a line of communication between parent and child, and lets you talk opening about your faith, questions your children may have, as well as about the lessons learned from each movie.  I find myself reaching for tissues as many of the movies will pull at your heartstrings.  At the end of each movie, I don't feel like I wasted my time watching an "OK" movie. Instead, I am usually moved or feel inspired, which I love.
