My Thoughts:

OMG...I can't believe that the Power Rangers have been around for 20 years.  Boy, do I feel old.  I remember I was in high school when this show hit the airways.  The little boy I used to babysit next door, would rush off the school bus at 3PM, just to watch this show.  And, for the next few Christmases, Power Rangers was the must have toy of the season.  Then, when I was in college and met my husband, I was reintroduced to the Power Rangers, as he used to watch this series, or would have me record it VHS on Saturday AM's when he was working, only to watch it later that night with me after dinner.  And, now, 20 years later the Power Rangers are back again with a brand new cast of super heroes, that are ready to do whatever it takes to protect the Earth from aliens and other monsters.

I was not home when this review copy arrived at our door last week, but my husband made a point to let me know how great it was, as he was home alone, while I was away with the girls visiting my parents.  He said he felt like a kid again, watching this new group of Power Rangers heroes.  The graphics were even better than the original television series, and each of the four episodes included on this new DVD were action packed and kept you engaged from start to finish.  My husband now how a new show he will be tuning in to, and can't wait for more DVDs to be added to this new mega-sage series.  And, don't forgot to watch the bonus feature, which is a look at the Power Rangers over the past 20 years.  While my husband loved the new Mega-Saga episodes, he said he felt a little nostalgic (and old) watching the bonus feature.

Do you have a Power Rangers fan in your house -- either from back in the day when this series first aired, or one from recent years?  If so, they will love this new DVD release.  We haven't seen the last of these teen Power Rangers.  And, from hearing my husband and nephew talking about it all weekend, I am guessing there will be new followers and old ones tuning in to see this new action packed series, filled with special Power Cards, new Megazords and more, which currently airs on Nickelodeon.

  1. You feel old too? I was in my 30s when it came out and I remember watching it with my son and husband. I think we all loved it! My son had PR everything for a little while. I even remember that the PR dressed in blue was his favorite, though I don't remember the name. This would be a great gift for memory lane's sake!
