Walk into our second floor bathroom and you will know instantly that we have young children, as the bathroom shower walls are covered with letters and numbers, as well as baskets suction cupped to the walls with bath toys spilling out of them. :-) With bath time being one of the girls' favorite times of the day, we can't help but encourage play during this time, as it makes the experience more fun. And, when bath toys are not only fun but educational, it is a big plus.
Recently, I was sent foam bath letters and numbers from Nuby to review, and have to say that this 36 letters and numbers set (Includes 26 letters (A-Z), and 10 numbers (0-9)) is my favorite bath toy by far from this brand or any other kid's brand. Not only are the foam letters soft, durable and non-toxic, as they float in the water, making it great for little ones, but, out of all the bath toys that we have purchased or have been given as gifts for the girls, these foam letters and numbers are the only ones that actually stick to the shower walls when wet and stay put. Other toys begin slipping seconds after the girls try to stick them on the walls, or they just don't stick at all, disappointing the girls altogether.
Never having luck with bathroom toys sticking to the walls, I didn't put much hope in these bath toys from Nuby. While I love the brand and their other products, I was basing my assumption on how they would be based on being disappointed time and again from other brands offering similar bath time products. But, after seeing Savannah stick the first letter to the wall and having it stay put, I was amazed. And, during their first bath experience with the letters and numbers set from Nuby, these foam bath toys stayed in place, unless the girls pulled them down. Right now, Savannah is learning her ABC's and learning to count past 10, so these foam letters and numbers have come in handy to help reinforce what she has been learning at home and in pre-school. The letters and numbers in this set are bright and colorful, and have different design patterns on them, making them fun to play with and look at.
As a parent, I love it when I find toys that are not only fun, but also are educational. And, these foam letters and numbers are great for tub time, as well as outside the tub.
When the girls are not taking a bath, they continue to ask me for the basket of the letters and numbers to play with. Savannah loves putting the letters in alphabetical order, or helping me to teach Arabella what each letter looks like. I can't get over how quickly Arabella is picking up the alphabet and how she, too, can count past ten, all while being under the age of 2.
If you have little ones, or are a grandparent who helps with bath time duties at your house when the grandkids stay over, why not make bath time a fun learning experience with the Nuby foam Letters and Numbers?
