Sponsored: See What Makes Me Smile #FABSmile -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I participated in the Mom It Forward Blogger Network Floss and Brush FABSmile campaign.  I was sent samples for a review, and as a form of compensation for my time.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

The folks at FlossandBrush.com asked the question -- "What makes you smile and why?  I didn't have to think long and hard about it, as the answer just popped in my head -- my girls, Savannah and Arabella. :-)  They are world, and miracles to say to the least.  And, when I am having a bad day or not feeling well, they simply have to smile and all the stress seems to melt away.  Just look at these cuties?  How could you not smile when you see them?

When it comes to smiling, the last thing you want to do is walk around flashing dirty, stained teeth, with food stuck in between them.  Not attractive by any means.  To help keep your teeth looking and feeling their best, and saving you on trips to the dentist's office for fillings, root canals or other dental work, make a point to brush your teeth at least twice a day (three if you can), as well as floss daily.  Sounds easy...but so many people are always go-go-going that they may forget to brush or floss, and then find their gums red and irritated, developing a sensitivity to hot and cold foods, etc.  And, if you have young children, they expect you to lead by example.  So, if you are not making a point to brush and take care of your teeth, why should they?

Thanks to the folks at FlossAndBrush.com, they offer a great service for busy families.  Did you know that you are supposed to replace your toothbrush every three months? The American Dental Association recommends this, as well as flossing your teeth daily, for optimum dental care. You can learn more about this here: http://bit.ly/19cNlzQ. I was changing up my family's toothbrushes every 6 months, as we would go for a cleaning and the dentist would give us each a new toothbrush and container of floss.  I will have to tell him about the importance of replacing your toothbrush every 3 months when I go for my next cleaning. :-)

Back to FlossAndBrush.com.  If you have never heard of them, don't worry, as I was not aware of them or their dental product services until I was sent samples as part of a Mom it Forward campaign.  By paying just $1.00 per month, per person in your family, the folks at FlossAndBrush.com will ship directly to your door, a box of fresh quality toothbrushes and floss.  All the toothbrushes FlossAndBrush.com ships out are top quality, age-specific (including ones for young childreN0, and dentist approved. Here is a photo of the five assorted toothbrushes, 5 containers of floss and 1 syringe of tooth whitening gel (to be used with whitening trays):

While my husband is a fan of firm bristles, I for one, love soft bristled toothbrushes.  So, I was happy to see that we were sent micro tip compact soft and super tip compact soft toothbrushes from G.U.M.  And, Savannah was sent soft bristles children's toothbrush, which had twinkle stars on the handle (her favorite). :-)

You can't go wrong for the price and convenience of having new toothbrushes and floss sent directly to your door every 3 months.  Now, you don't have to guess when the last time you replaced your toothbrush was.  And, with the recent cold that we have all been battling, I like to make a point to replace my toothbrushes during and after a cold for sanitary purposes.  So, these toothbrushes definitely came in handy for this, as I would have had to run out to the store to pick up new toothbrushes, as my secret stash was gone. :-(

I make a point to brush my teeth at least twice a day, and have the girls brush at the same time as me.  By seeing me take care of my teeth, and wanting their teeth to stay healthy and strong, they are starting to learn the importance of proper dental care.  Just the other day, Savannah was snacking on something that got stuck between her baby teeth.  She asked me to floss her teeth, as she saw me do this when I had food stuck.  Who would have thought that a three year old would know about flossing.  I placed her on the counter and showed her the proper flossing technique, while getting the lodged food particle out.  And, when we were done, she asked to brush, so that she could have a cleaner, fresher smile. :-)  How could I say, "No."

So, don't be embarrassed because of your teeth.  Take charge of your dental health, as well as your family's, by making a point to brush at least twice daily, flossing at least once daily and replacing toothbrushes every 3 months.  You will be surprised at how great you feel knowing that your teeth are sparkly clean.  :-) Just try not to smile -- you will want to show off your teeth, as you share with others what makes you smile. :-)
