My Thoughts:

Growing up, the first Disney film that I watched and fell in love with was "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh".  As a result of this movie, I fell in love with Eeyore, and spent the past 30+ years collecting plush toys, ceramic figures and other Eeyore collectibles.  In addition to loving Eeyore, as well as the other Hundred Acre Wood characters, my parents told me long ago that I was named after Christoper Robin. :-)

I can see why "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" won the Academy Award back in 1968 for Best Cartoon Short Subject, as the stories about Pooh and his friends are fun to watch and heartwarming.  Families over the years have enjoyed watching "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh".  And, this past Monday, I was able to share this animated classic with my girls for the first.  Even though they have inherited my Eeyore plush toy collection, they have never seen this classic.  As soon as I started playing it, I was happy to see the girls pointing out and calling the characters by name.

While the girls and I enjoyed the feature film, I have to say that I found the bonus features the most enjoyable.  If you are a true fan of Winnie the Pooh, you will want to pick up this new Blu-Ray Combo Pack, and check out the bonus features which includes "The Story Behind the Masterpiece -- Making of Featurette" and my personal favorite, the "The Winnie the Pooh Theme Song" performed by Carly Simon.  And, don't forget to press "pause" during the movie, to engage with the Hundred Acre Woods characters in fun activities.  The girls thought this was neat, and was a great way to keep them engaged, when they started drifting from the television.

With the holidays right around the corner, why not pick up this new Blu-Ray Combo Pack to add to your child's stocking. Or, pick up a copy now, and enjoy during your next family movie night. This is definitely one Disney classic worth having in your family's movie collection.
