When Twilight Sparkle’s crown is
stolen from the Crystal Empire, she pursues the thief, Sunset Shimmer, into an
alternate world where she finds herself turned into…a teenage girl! To
regain her crown and return to Equestria, Twilight must learn how to fit into
this strange, new world and defeat Sunset Shimmer in a competition to become
crowned Princess of the Fall Formal at Canterlot High. Luckily, she will have
the assistance of Spike and five teenage girls who remind her of a certain
group of ponies back home. "

My Thoughts:
Did you catch this movie when it was in theaters a few weeks ago? Not only was it Savannah's first time at the movie theater, but during the course of the limited run in theaters, we ended up seeing it four times. Think this was a little excessive for a My Little Pony film? You would be surprised, as I talked to a handful of moms, who had also seen this same movie a few times with their children, both boys and girls. And, there were a few ladies I spoke with who either took a niece or nephew to see the movie, or came by themselves, as they have been fans of My Little Pony since their youth.
Having seen the movie four times already, you would have thought Savannah was all set. But, when she saw that I had received an advanced copy of this upcoming release (available in stores on August 6th), she was eager to watch it again. We have only had this movie for about a week and half, and have added 4 more viewers to the total count. :-) And, if let Savannah, she would watch this movie repeatedly daily, and not grow tired out.
Each and every time we watch this movie, Savannah and Arabella make a point to gather up some of their favorite ponies, so that they can watch the movie together. Yesterday, the living room floor was lined with over 50 ponies, who had come for a special movie viewing of the "My Little Pony Equestria Girls." Like I shared earlier, I love being able to share one of my favorite childhood toys with my girls, and had a blast watching this new MLP movie in theaters, and now at home with them. And, for tonight's movie night choice, the girls ended up choosing My Little Pony Equestria Girls to watch. :-)
So, if you have a MLP fan in your house, or want to see what you missed at theaters recently, you will want to pick up a copy of My Little Pony Equestria Girls when it arrives in stores on August 6th. This is really a film, that will entertain both young and old MLP fans.
